I have asked this question several times and still no answers are coming. Does anyone know why my son does not get the books I send him. Soft cover from books stores and publishers. This has been an on going problem since he transfered there last year. (B yard) Does any one send books to Calipatria? Do they get in? please help.....

My good friend is on B yard as well and I just sent him a book. I sent it through Barnes and Noble and he was advised that because they were on lockdown that he would not be allowed to have it and it was sent back to me. I also understand that quarterly packages were sent back as well as a result of this most recent lockdown. Once they are off lockdown, I'll try again. I've only tried once and had not luck. Hope this helps.

I am not in your state but here we have to order the books from the internet and have them sent direct. We can go to our state web site and look for what they can have and what web site we can use to purchase the books. And as the other person said make sure that they aren't on lock down.

Yes!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited my baby is getting out earlier than we expected he was suppose to get out in September for catching more points but since he has been a good boy this year calipat gave him 120 days back so hes coming home ends of April or beginning of March.

Yeah, he'll get the mail. Mail follows him, it may take a week, while he gets settled. But he will get your letters.. don't trip.

Girl, the same thing happened here. My hubby was in C- got into a fight and got sent over to B yard AND I HATE IT!! From what he tells me B yard is the yard for those who don't play well with others. Basically, the *uck -up yard.:mad: C yard was so much better- he was able to use the phone more, they had better programs on C as well. Your man might have got into a scuffle. They move them for a reason. Good luck.....maybe I'll see you at visiting one day. If they ever come off this L/D

Unfortunately it's a facility....Some yards are o.k. while others are not....From what I hear C-yard has gotten very BUSY, with all the NEW inmates coming in frm Centinela.....
