Well here we go again...I went to pick Jason up yesterday morning and there he was dresssed and ready to walk out. They gave him his time sheet showing he was EOS and that he had no warrants or detainers. And off we went I brought him straight to see his Grandmaw & Step Father, we were going out to dinner tonight to celebrate. So today, I took him to the local courthouse so could get his driver license reinstated (he was to start work Monday), I couldn't figure out why it was taking so long and then after about 2 hours they called his name, he went to the back to see the examier, and came right back out in handcuff's with 2 cops. They said he had an outstanding warrant from Santa Rosa, FL....I went off showing them the papers, they didn't give a crap. So he's back in county waiting to be picked up from Santa Rosa (which they have 10 days to get him). I was so mad I called the prison and spoke to the warden, he told me they only check for Alabama warrants, they don't check thru NCIS, I lost it, then called Brain Corbett he said the prisons don't have access to the NCIS system, Alabama doesn't have the funding. This is crazy!!! Jason charge in Santa Rosa is nothing, but what if they released a rapest, murderer, or whatever. My God this state is F-up. So no celebrating tonight, and no help for the party and no son to be there. I guess I should be greatfull that at least he got see his Granmother. Sorry to vent on all of you, but I so mad right now I could spit nails. This really bites the big one, and why is my strengh being tested so so so much!!!

Pray for us and God Bless you all,
Linda

I am so sorry, I know this was so disappointing. I know someone else that was released once and got turned around and sent back in at the front door. It is terrible that the ADOC is so backwards that stuff like this happens. :(

I'm so sorry this happened to y'all!!! The same thing (almost) happened to Kevin...only he was out for 3-4 months before they caught it. He had a couple old tickets from back in 2003...he got out in January & about 3 weeks ago he was put in jail for those tickets. IMO...it's ADOC's fault *they* didn't catch it before he was released & therefore they should've just "let it go" but...I guess it don't work that way.

Anyway...I am sorry this happened to y'all...it just makes no sense!! :(

I might be confused. Did he not know he had warrants or problems elsewhere? Isn't it up to him to clear it up rather than hope it goes undetected?

I'm sorry I just dont't see it, I don't know of one inmate that is fixing to go "home" that's currently living at a ADOC facility that's going to say hey I may have warrants on me somewhere else would you check and see! I would not myself! Linda I'm so sorry for your pain and hurt and I'm hoping they don't show to pick him up, it does happen where they won't pick them up and just wait to see if they pass through and detect it if he ever goes there again and is checked.

well heck. don't that just take the cake?

I can only imagine what's going on in Jason's head, bless his heart, lord bless yours.

to be released like that and right back to the county jail has to be hard to handle.

what happen's if san rosa don't come get him (?) just released (?)

Linda, keep hang on lady, sooner or later they've got to be finished with him...take care and please keep us posted...

No, of course he wouldn't have them check before he was released. I didn't mean that.

I was just wondering why he didn't pick up the phone and call Fl to see what needed to be done to clear it up. Seems like sitting around with a warrant out for you and doing nothing to take care of it is going to end up this way sooner or later.

In Alabama you can't pick up the phone and call just anyone, you have a calling list and it has to be pre-approved before you can call anyone on the list. It can be changed every 6 months.
If he got back a clean time sheet with no detainers then it would appear to me that they didn't want him that bad so still hopefully the charges aren't so bad that they will come and get him.
Linda let us know how things go for you guys...got my fingers crossed!

I guess I'm still confused. Couldn't he have had her - Linda - call after he told her he might be being looked for elsewhere?

I guess I just don't see why he wouldn't have done everything possible to start getting everything straightened out immediately.

I hope it all works out. Hopefully it won't be another ordeal. I'm sure you've had all of that you want.
