I am excited..but he still hasnt told me his exact release date. He just says 4/30 or 5/1. I keep telling him he needs to find out but the mail is so backed up right now he is still getting mail from the first week of april. Hope he finds out soon!

I dunno, I've never done it, but can you call and find out? I mean can you talk to his counselor or something. Somebody has to be able to tell you. And even though it takes weeks for him to get mail, I think, just from my recent experince it only takes about 2 days for me to recive mail from him.

Funny thing my man told me this weekend at visit... he told me his release date the nhe told me he already got 2 dress-out forms. I was like, Why do you need to get them now, you've got 3.5 more months. He then said, you'll never know when you need them, sometimes you need them and they're out so you cant send one home. Hmmm... the man has a point. But 3.5 more month??? I think he's jumping the gun just a little.

Well at least your man is prepared...I haven't been able to get ahold of his counselor yet. I am hoping I will get a letter from him today with news of his release date.. we'll see what happens.

My understanding is that you go to the same building as you would to visit. You can't miss it as it is the only building by the parking lot and before the gates. YOu just tell them your there to pick him up and then they should bring him out to you. It's probably a little more complex than that but that is the gist of what I understand it to be like.

As for the feelings, I think that is normal. I still have over a month and I get all the same mixed emotions. Happy, sad, anxious, nervous, irritated...the list goes on and on.

I didn't get any mail today for the first time since he has been in. Does anyone know if they know in advance if they transfer?? His counselor was supposed to call me back today and give me status on his transfer to minimum but didn't and now I am worried that they transferred him out of CIM. I was thinking about that as well but wouldn't you say a 9 hour delay is rare? It's not the car so much as the driving part. I know how we are both going to feel at that moment we finally get to see each other and not have glass between us and I know how we are without this separation so I can't imagine we will be very successful waiting to get home and I live too close to justifiy getting a hotel in Chino. That's a good idea but who knows how long a wait you will have. unless you get a deal for the entire day. When my husband got out last time I rented the chrysler 300.

Yes and it really, really sucks. It seems that they are now on LD because the hall next door, Mariposa, rioted over someone cleaning their shoes in the sink. For some reason, this caused them to toss their bunks again and they found 3 knives. Why punish the whole group and not just the ones who had the knives?? So once again they took all his pencils and other stuff. I hate all this BS. They have been on LD for 3 weeks now.

I can't justify the hotel because I live 35 miles from the prison. As for the limo, I doubt I will spend the money but I thought that would be cool for him and then I don't have to worry about us getting overly excited while one of us is driving. I don't want to crash or get pulled over for reckless driving which is very possible. After all, it will be 3 months at that point and we are still in the mushy, gooey, dripping with sweetness part of a new relationship. We have waited this long I suppose another 35 miles won't kill us. At least I hope not....

It really sucks because he was supposed to be getting on the right track, had a job and all and he screwed up already. :( So here I go again...
