I haven't heard about J Pay but you can believe this: If there is any new way for an inmate to get money from someone they will certainly let you know. Some of them have so many people on the hook they have transferred large sums to outside bank accounts. The stories I could tell you! :eek:

I sent it.. They provide a confirmation number. The site says that it will be there tomorrow and have it posted directly to him by Thursday

I just visited JPAY and created an account, I hope this really works. You even have choices of where you want the payment to go, restitution,inmate,parole restitution.

I have been using jpay for two years now with no problems !!

I Plan On Using It On Monday!!i Wish They Would Have Started That Along Time Ago Since It Took My Man 1 1/2 Months To Get Money From Me At The Last Place He Was In... So This Would Have Been Really Nice...

It's the only way I send money here in Texas and I've never had a problem with it in the 2 years we've used it. The money is always there the same day at midnight if you send it before 2pm.

I went to JPAY on Monday too and it says its bound to land in his account on thursday. Its great you can set up as many credit and debit cards as you want. I hope he gets it in time for that once a month canteen thing. Does anyone know how long it takes for the money that was deposited at the county jail to get to him in prison? According to his last letter two days ago, it hasn't reached him yet and its been 3 weeks since I went to that cashier at twin towers in LA

For me, JPay is the only way to go. It's quick, it's easy and I don't have to make a special trip to the post office to get a postal money order so that I can send my husband some money. It is so nice when a company makes things a bit easier on the family members of offenders.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever had any problems with Jpay? They just started it I think at Salinas Valley where my husband is but I don't know oo much about it and since I have bad luck with packages I was just wondering about this.

I have never had any problems with jpay.Been using it over two years now...

I sent money to my son at Pelican Bay and he got it in just a couple of days, they also sent him a note saying he was the first at the Bay to received money from their service.
