I purchased Photoshop Elements at Sam's club for about $50 and it still has everything you need to edit, organize and show your photos. I also bought an HP photosmart printer at Sam's for around $200 and it works really well. Good Luck. trnd_around 04-15-2006, 10:48 AM Photoshop is very expensive because it is a professional level tool. I use it almost everyday but it is at the core of my business so I can justify the cost. Photoshop elements is basically Photoshop for non-pros. It has 80% of the functionality of Photoshop CS. Or if you want to try out a program by learning on your own, check out GIMP at http://www.gimp.org Gimp is an open source (free) program much like Photoshop. But you will have to learn it on your own without a manual in front of you. Although there are many good tutorials on the web. Or you can try this link: http:///www.freeserifsoftware.com/ Which has a photo/image editing program for free as well! :) flamered 04-24-2006, 09:00 PM Here is a compiled list of programs, both from the web & downloads Resource Only Thread for Image Programs (http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147394) I use Photo Impact, which i got for like $40 at a discount store. I'm not trying to get up here and promote software piracy, but i feel like im just stating common knowledge... Photoshop is VERY easy to obtain... for PC you just download the 30 day trial (they have it on the site, cs2 is the newest version but i still like cs better) Its a full working program just with a time counter restriction... You can find a serial number (disconnect your comp from the net when installing the program so it doesnt send any information online) and just enter the serial number as if you bought the program.... or you can search for a "crack" and unlock the program by sticking it in the proper spot... on a mac with up to version 10.2.3 you can just find someone with it on their computer... all they have to do is burn the entire program onto a cd and you drag the program into your applications folder... the system accepts it as if you installed it from the store |
