Hi, I am very new to this. My boyfriend is at chino I but I don't know exactly where. He has been in for a week now because his parole officer arrested him for not having a permanent residence. She said she might let him out in a week (tomorrow would make a week) but might not. she said i could call her on friday to find out if he would stay in for another 6 months or if she would let him out. She never answered her phone so now I am trying to figure out the likely hood of him getting out tomorrow or being in for another 6 months... any ideas??

I'm not too familar with things outside of illinois and iowa, but I wanted to ask a question. There isn't a computer database that has that type info available to the public there, or a general inmate information number?

Now I may not be to familiar with federal prison, which is why I started using this site. But state I am pretty up to date with especially ca. Are you sure she arrested him on the sole reason of not having a permanant address? I would bet there may be more behind it, you should ask her in depth. Maybe he moved or no longer was residing at the address he was approved to live upon release. If she did in fact arresst him on the sole reason of no perm. address something is very wrong and I personally would be calling writing anyone that would answer the phone and had any legal ties to ca at all. Ca is number 1 rated for the most homeless out of the entire U.S.A. As we speak the la county mayor is currently addressing this issue with great concern. For her to arresst based on being homeless alone is unconstitutional to say the least. We dont want homeless hanging out on skid row so lets throw them in jail and cost our state more money. When we are trying now to get money allotted to start contruction on new homeless shelters and low income houses. Thats to me is defeating the entire purpose. Please email me I am going to look into this right now. I have a friend who is a detective and I am about to give her a call and see if this is even possible to arresst on the fact of being homeless.

They will probably hold him for 2 weeks. I've been through it. Remember it's always at least 10 days before the board responds to anything. As far as locating him, if he was in the west before he is likely there now. They usually start off in Central the 1st day or 2. In any case if you are an approved visitor you can visit him on Saturday, however if you still have your letter from the prison that you were approved take it with you, because they screw up at Chino all the time. Good Luck...

CA doesn't hesitate to throw you back in, my friend that was paroled last year said that if he didn't have a place after 30 days from being in a homeless shelter he would go back in. Thank goodness a friend and I were able to assist him and get him an apartment and he found a job right away well not right away but 3 months later and he loves it. So her throwing him back inside makes perfect sense to me for not having a home.
