VISITING INMATES

Visiting hours are 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesdays and Sundays. In order to visit inmates, you must show some type of photo identification.

Visitors must be 18 years of age or be accompanied by their parents. If you have been incarcerated in this facility within the last six months, you will not be allowed to visit.

Mono County Jail does not allow contact visits of any type.

INMATE CANNOT RECEIVE GOODS

Inmates are allowed to receive only money from visitors. This can be in the form of US currency, cashiers check, or money orders cashed in the jail lobby. We do not accept any other goods for the inmates, including clothing, books, newspapers, metal files baked inside cakes, etc.

Inmates can purchase hygiene products, cookies, candy, and stationary products from the jail commissary.

BAIL AND BOND

To bail an inmate out of jail using US currency, you must have the exact dollar amount. No personal checks will be accepted. However, we do accept cashiers checks and money orders.

To bond an inmate out of jail, you first need to select a bail bond agency of your choice. The closest bond companies are located in Bishop and South Lake Tahoe, both in California. We cannot do business with bail bond companies not licensed in California.

The bail bond company will explain its process to you.
