Hi everyone

Just wanted to say Hi! I have a penpal/friend that was just recently moved there. Already, I'm not so impressed with CCI. He wrote and let me know he was going there. I called there a few days later to get the housing info / PO BOX. Then I got a letter from him with totally different info. So I called the prison again, and was given a different POBox number then the first time I called. Apparently, they moved him a few days after he got there. I get his letters but so far it doesn't appear that he has gotten any of mine from any of the 3 addresses that I sent mail to. Is the mail slow there or is it just me? Thanks so much for letting a newbie vent already...

Well hello and welcome to cci post we r happy to have u here .I'm a wife of a inmate who is at tehachapi and believe that place it hell but we hang in there and keep our prays flowing.Any way we have a few ladys whom u will hear from soon and every 1 is nice and we give each other alot of support and yes always feel free 2 vent out b cuz we all need 2 time 2 time.Now as for the mail flow its crazy up there but its all depending on what yard he is on but as long as u have his cdc# and name it will reach him sooner or later but i hope u have all the correct information now but if u ever need to know something just post and we will all try to help u out ok so once again welcome and talk 2 u soon..

Hello, I have been out of the PTO circuit for a minute, so lemme re-introduce myself I am BVN... I am a CCI WIFFEE... and I can tell you sooo many Negatives about CCI, but it would be a waste of a space... CCI is a place all of its own, as you found out already... You can call the 661-822-4402 and ask for the mail room, or ask for the Public Info Officer...there is a start.. With CCI it is either SLOW or VERY SLOW...so just continue to hold on, and DONT ever let CCI( or any institution for that matter) BREAK YOU !!!

Thank you all so very much for making me feel welcome. I'll give it a few more days and see. If not it's forward on to making those phone calls to this place. Maybe I'll try the big manilla envelope. It worked at the other prison he was in. He got that faster than the regular envelopes. Anyway, I don't plan on breaking. Only writing more. He's in Level 2 Gym. Don't really understand all the housing stuff. At least knowing that the mail has 2 speeds of slow gives me hope that there's still a chance that he'll get one my letters before he gets out.....Thanks again for the lovely welcome and I plan on hanging out with you all.

Well u r welcome ay2b we here at cci believe in expressing our self and being their 4 others and u feel free 2 express yourself and as u can see Diamond & BVN r always there and have good post and i dont do to bad myself:D we just believe in what we believe in and thats the luv 4 our husands u feel me.But know matter what we r alwayz here ok........
