What would you do to stop drug use? We must admit that drug use in general is a problem. Most of us here have loved one's who are doing time for their drug use. I will admit, I don't want my Wife to come home and start using again, because I know it will kill Her or put Her right back where She is at right now. I know there are a lot of different idea's out there, I know folks share different views on legalization issues. I know there is one heck of a difference from using "Pot" compaired to using "Hard Drugs". I am also interested in who you think "should" be punished for drug related offenses and why.

I realize we have members with loved ones who are dealers, manufacturers and addicts. Some who manufactured or dealt drugs were also addicts. I think however we need to separate the actual addicts from the rest of drug crimes. I imagine how great it would be if addicts got help which would reduce the customers for dealers and I imagine the countries where these drugs coming from actually dealing completely with the "War on Drugs' instead of on our loved ones. I realize that we are so far from any of that happening.
I dont want to offend those waiting for dealers or drug manufacturers and we are a support site regardless of the crime but I do believe that an addict should not be getting sentences other drug crimes.
