Hi,I am new here.Does anyone know anything about Atmore prison?My dad is there and I have not heard from him in over a year.He will not answer any letters from any of his family.My mom died last year and we have not heard from him since then.I am very worried about him.I called the prison and he has not put anyone on his list to get mail or to visit so my mail has been returned.

FIrst of all let me welcome you to PTO. It breaks my heart to hear that he has refused to even recieve a letter from you. If you just keep mailing them just maybe one day he'll give in and start writing to you. My husband spent a great deal of time at Fountain in Atmore, and i don't recall a "mail list", i do however know that is a fund list and visitation list, but no mail list.

Over the years i have sent mail to inmates in alabama that didn't know me much less add me to "mail list" and i haven't had a problem.

Please feel free to ask any further questions, we are all here to help one-another, there may be several reasons why your dad hasn't written you, i would contiune trying to get to him
