My man is at KVSP, and he is telling me that he can receive tennis shoes as a special package. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so who is the vendor. Also does anyone know if ACCESS is an approved vendor for KVSP?

AccessSecurePak (http://www.californiaqp.com) is an approved vendor for KVSP. However, tennis shoes ARE NOT allowed to be sent as a special package. (But, some prisons may make an acception. I suggest calling KVSP and ask to be transferred to the R&R department. Ask a staff member there if tennis shoes are allowed in a special package.) The shoes can be sent in a quarterly package though. The only items that can be sent "special" are electronics and the items listed below.
Special Packages:
Special Packages allow for the purchase of Electronics, Accessories, Musical Instruments, Under Garments and Clothing, Correspondence Courses, Legal Material and Faith Based Items. That would otherwise crowd a quarterly package beyond its allowed weight or dimensions. There is no limit to the amount of special packages allowed in a calendar year.
