TerriB 05-08-2006, 09:00 PM Having been a writer for a racing paper and having the pleasure of meeting many of the drivers I can tell you some of the nicest ones out there. Since I no longer write for the paper I can tell you my personal favorite : JEFF GORDON I also know Tony Stewart extremely well as he was part of our circuit for a long time prior to racing in Nascar, in fact he still races with us from time to time and purchased one of the largest dirt track facilities in Ohio known as Eldora Speedway. He in fact was there a few week ago racing with many other of the famed Nascar drivers :) 24jf 05-09-2006, 09:46 AM Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson :) *Jakes-girl 05-12-2006, 03:33 PM dale jr is my fav... but I also like elliot sadler GO #8 AND #38!!!!!!!!!!! The guest said, he would swap it if I had a hat to replace it with!! Well, earlier that year the FBI had stayed at the hotel and each of the front desk crew got an FBI hat. The trade was on! I think I get the better end of the deal!!! A Tony Stewart hat for free!!! JJT Blueyez94 05-18-2006, 11:49 AM GO #8......Dale Jr. is my fav... SpikesWife 10-25-2006, 02:59 PM I LOVE me some Dale Jr!!!! #8!!!! I'm also starting to like Kasey. That is who my husband likes now that his driver Rusty Wallace retired. GO DALE JR!!!!!! :D ~SPIKESWIFE~ SunnyChick 10-25-2006, 08:25 PM Hi NASCAR fans, My guy is loyal to Dale Jr., and I used to follow Jeff Gordon (still like him actually), but I've switched my loyalties this year. Although he hasn't got a chance in this year's Chase, I think that Kyle Busch has a real future ahead of him. In fact, I like both the Busch brothers, but ever since the cops dogged him for "chirping" his tires, Kyle has been my favorite. I guess I enjoy picking a rookie and following his career for a few years. Someone else will be my new favorite down the road. I'm a little fickle when it comes to who I cheer for. Good luck to all the "gentlemen." AngienHenry 11-07-2006, 01:54 PM #3 Will always be my man. I miss him so, I was there when he dies, very sad. But I like JR # 8. Though he'll probably never be as good as his daddy. Billy and I like #8 JR & #20 Tony Stewart but no one can top the man...the intimidator... Dale Earnhart SR... RIP#3 e_wife03 11-09-2006, 11:46 PM I love Dale Jr .... and yes yall are right his daddy will always be the best and will remain in everyone hearts forever SunnyChick 11-20-2006, 08:51 AM Congratulations to Jimmie Johnson and his crew! Can't wait for next year so we can get a better look at the Toyotas and at that infamous "car of tomorrow." Waiting4Hubby 12-20-2006, 03:51 AM Gotta be that 8 car all the way!!!!! And that 48 team cheats:). Seriously, can someone explain to me how they can go into the pits in 40th and come out in 2nd like every race????? lilsislovesyou 02-04-2007, 06:36 PM OH but NO!! It looks like an interesting season ahead. How many drivers have been slapped with penalties already, and the season hasn't actually started yet? What do you-all think of that Gilliland guy? I kinda like him. I think he might make a good showing this year. But I still have a soft spot in my heart for that duo out of Vegas. And how about that Vegas track? After all the changes they've made, the trial speeds from Vegas track seem to promise that we're really going to see some racing in Nevada. I'm psyched. I hope everyone enjoys the season. SunnyChick AmyLynn 02-17-2007, 03:59 PM I cant wait until Sunday.. I know nascar is not playing around this season. My man Kasey got in some trouble all ready. This season should be a good one..... Ps love you siggy. lilsislovesyou 02-17-2007, 04:06 PM  :yay:  Sexy man TONY all the way BABY!! :D He's gonna take it this year!! I feel it with that bud shootout win!!  van'sgirl 02-17-2007, 11:57 PM I have always followed Mark Martin, but since he is out of Nascar, I will have to make a minor adjustment. I pick JR and Sterling Marlin-- he's hilarious. :D :D :D :D AmyLynn 02-18-2007, 08:58 AM I have always followed Mark Martin, but since he is out of Nascar, I will have to make a minor adjustment. I pick JR and Sterling Marlin-- he's hilarious. :D :D :D :D Mark Martin still is in Nascar he drives the 01 car this year! He is only on a limited drive schedule. gsr67 02-18-2007, 09:44 AM Im going with that guy who makes all those left turns van'sgirl 02-20-2007, 08:23 AM Mark Martin still is in Nascar he drives the 01 car this year! He is only on a limited drive schedule. I was so happy and cheered him all the way to 2nd place. I was so mad (and still am) at Kevin Harvick. That snot nose little brat. His wife owns the team, so you know why he won. I'm not bitter or anything. Martin had 29 starts in the Daytona 500, he lost by .02 of a second and all is fair in love and war. Kevin won fair and square and it's not right!!!! I hope Martin drives in the majority of the races this year. He is such a good guy and he deserves a nextel cup win. IMHO. I am a little biast, though.:p van'sgirl 02-20-2007, 08:26 AM  :yay:  Sexy man TONY all the way BABY!! :D He's gonna take it this year!! I feel it with that bud shootout win!!  He would've took it all the way if Kyle Bush wouldn't have nudged him. I like Tony, too. He's got personality. AmyLynn 02-21-2007, 05:57 AM I was so happy and cheered him all the way to 2nd place. I was so mad (and still am) at Kevin Harvick. That snot nose little brat. His wife owns the team, so you know why he won. I'm not bitter or anything. Harvick and his wife own a Busch team not Nextel. They dont own the car that own the Dayton. I was screaming so loud at the TV my kids finally thought that I lost it. That was a good race. SunnyChick 02-22-2007, 01:43 AM Hi Fans, I was thinking of you Van'sgirl when Mark Martin came so close. At one point it looked like my little firecracker (Kyle Busch) might take second. I really didn't know much about Harvick, but he was on Jimmy Kimmel tonight, and he seems to be a very nice, down-to-earth guy. He made a good impression on me. I'm sorry your guy didn't win though, but he made a very good showing. You know what's strange, looking at the stats. Kurt Busch led in almost half the laps (95 I think it was). That seems like quite an accomplishment and evidence of a good driver, but too bad. Better luck next time. You gotta luv it. SunnyChick van'sgirl 02-22-2007, 01:49 PM I get a little caught up in emotion. I shouldn't have called Harvick a brat. I apologize. They all work very hard and are very good drivers. With that wind and speed how could they have kept it on the track otherwise? AMYLynn-thank you for the correct info. Sorry. I was going by what my boyfriend had heard on TV. I hate posting something and then being wrong. It makes me feel like a big dummy. Thank you. SunnyChick 02-22-2007, 07:45 PM Hey Van'sgirl, Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure Harvick has been called a lot worse things than a brat. And as far as getting emotional, I think that's what keeps us fans coming back year after year. We love to hoop & holler and cheer for our favorite drivers. Martin did a great job, and if he wins one later this year, we'll all be cheering for him too. SunnyChick NavyWife 02-22-2007, 09:15 PM Jimmie Johnson all the way!!! For once, I pick someone that is not only cute, but finally CAN race his way out of a paper bag (I was a Jerry Nadeau fan...)! REPEAT, Jimmie! cathy69 02-26-2007, 08:32 PM jeff gordon utcrush72 02-27-2007, 05:54 AM My man is Dale Jr. although he didn't do well this past Sunday, I am still standing strong in who I believe in. van'sgirl 02-28-2007, 08:44 AM I get so frustruated, because Martin always starts out so good, and I think this is the year. And then, repeat of the years before. This last week he was the, and I can't remember the exact word, but I think they said something like the emotional pick (I know that's not the right word), but anyway you know what I mean. Briansgirl25yrs 03-01-2007, 11:08 AM YEAH,BIG NASCAR FAN,OF WHO ELSE, THE REIGHNING CHAMPION JIMMIE JOHNSON,THE 48 LOWE'S CAR-****THAT'S MY MAN'S FAVORITE SO I GO WITH HIM, >>>>>>>>MUCH RESPECT FOR THE LATE "INTIMIDATOR" D.E. RIP BT'S LIL SIS 03-02-2007, 08:05 AM I HAVE TO ADD MY MAIN MAN TO THE LIST WHICH IS THE ALLTEL DODGE # 12 RYAN NEWMAN ALTHOUGH HE HASN'T WON A RACE IN A WHILE,I STILL PULL FOR HIM-BUT MY #2 GUY IS A CHAMP AND THAT IS #48 JIMMIE JOHNSON - RESPECT FOR MANY!! Psychicfairy17 03-03-2007, 03:24 AM It's all about TONY STEWART!!!! #20 GO TONY #20:thumbsup: van'sgirl 03-03-2007, 03:27 AM I am soooo glad that Martin is not driving a Viagara car this year. I know he's not driving for Rausch this year, too. I was in the Army for 4 years so this is one more reason for me to cheer him on!!!!! CM_ANGEL_2000 03-06-2007, 05:35 PM I pick by who is the best looking!! Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, or Jr? DEFINITELY JR!!!! BTW-Tony Stewart is not sexy!!:D SunnyChick 03-12-2007, 04:04 AM Hey Van'sgirl, What do you think about Martin now? After 3 races, he's still in the points lead, isn't he? He's number uno. He's showing the young blood a few things before he retires, I guess. I was reading an article the other day, and it was only speculation, but they suggested that if he continues to do this well, he may decide to run a full season instead of the partial season he had planned. It looks like you might know how to pick a winner. As for me -- I like them all, but those two Busch brothers are the ones I'm watching. My little Kyle is doing pretty good. I think he's 7th in points. But the season is still very young. Does anyone here use the NASCAR.com site as a reference for information? I've been using it for several years with very few problems. This year, it's a mess. I heard that it had been taken over by Sirius. Is anyone else having trouble with it? SunnyChick AmyLynn 03-12-2007, 05:44 AM Sunny I use to go on there all of the time and my BF still does he has not complained about but I did not like the changes that they made to it. I figuring out new things. Mark Martin is kicking some butt! My guy went in to the wall that sucked. SunnyChick 03-17-2007, 03:15 AM Re: Martin's Retirement: I just read an article that contradicted the article I read about a week ago. It said that in spite of the good runs he's been having, and even if they continue for the next couple weeks, Martin intends to stick to his previously announced schedule for a partial season. I'm sure he knows what's best for him, but in a way, that's kind of sad -- he was doing so well, and it would have been quite the coup if he could have gone out with the Championship to look back on. Oh well, you have to make room for the young blood, I guess. This weekend is Atlanta -- they say that's a fast track. Last week everyone was boo-hooing that Las Vegas was too fast. All it boiled down to is that the track was rebuilt and the drivers weren't used to it. Next year they should do better in LV. I hope you-all noticed that my little Kyle Busch has moved up to seventh. My guy is a Jr fan, so I'm just loving this. Have fun everyone cheering for your favorite drivers. Sunny O'Chick AmyLynn 03-24-2007, 07:35 PM I cant wait for the race tomorrow. I love the Bristol race and for this to be happening at the same time  This is a big thing for Nascar they have been working on these cars for 7 years.... I have this Sunday off. After Church I'm watching everything that is going on with it.. GO KASEY GO!!! monet420 03-24-2007, 07:40 PM I am going for #20 only because I work for Home Depot LOL SunnyChick 03-25-2007, 12:20 AM I'm excited about the Bristol race tomorrow too. You gotta love those short tracks. I watched about the last hour of the Busch Race today, and it was like a comedy of errors -- e.g., they announced that the pit road was open but failed to change the light, so some guys pitted and others obeyed the light and stayed on the track. I couldn't help it -- I was laughing. And you're right, AmyLynn. Tomorrow we get to see what this much heralded COT can really do. Are you secretly hoping it falls apart by the middle of the race? They have given it so much hype, but the pictures I've seen are fug-ugly. From what I've read there are two "camps" among the drivers. Some like it. Another group really hates it. And I guess there are some who are reserving judgment. As of tomorrow, I think the season begins to shape up. Fun, fun, fun! Enjoy, SunnyChick SunnyChick 09-10-2007, 01:05 AM Where are all the NASCAR fans? Come on people -- the Chase is on! Incidentally, what do you-all think of this "car of tomorrow"? And what about the lack of consistency in applying rules & sanctions this season? Am I the only one who gets worked up about this? Well, they're all winners in my estimation, but the next 10 races should be good. Go Busch Bros, SunnyChick AmyLynn 09-10-2007, 05:50 AM I'm not sure of the COT yet. They do seem to be safer for the driver. And Nascar has never been fair with who gets sanctions and fined. My Bf loves the COT cars but he is allso a Hendricks fan, they seem to be domanting those races.. Jasonsgirl4Ever 10-05-2007, 04:22 PM I'm all for the Hendricks' boys...Gordon & Johnson!! SunnyChick 10-06-2007, 10:02 PM I have a funny feeling that you may be right about Gordon and Johnson. I have admiration for all these drivers, but I'm still cheering for Kyle and Kurt Busch. The race tomorrow at Dega really ought to be something. I can't wait. Good luck to them all. Sunny poohbearpr 10-06-2007, 10:08 PM I really really like Jeff Gordon (have for several years). But one of my absolute favorites is Carl Edwards....<~ what a hottie :D Jasonsgirl4Ever 10-08-2007, 08:41 AM Gordon & Johnnson finishing 1st and 2nd helped to redeem my weekend...since my beloved 49ers lost yet AGAIN!! SunnyChick 11-18-2007, 07:46 PM Congratulations to Jimmie Johnson and his crew! And thank you to all the drivers and crews for another year of great NASCAR entertainment. |
