calif correctional instution <do i have to write this out?>
1A-1A-123 <whats this?>

Just need to know if I'm putting the numbers in the right places. Also he was in the hole for a year I guess but don't know if he is still or not. If he is can he get mail? thanks for the help.

The address looks good. He can receive mail in the hole unless he has a hold on his mail...You could always call records and find out if he is still has the same housing number or you can obtain the current one.
Good luck!:)

Thx for the help guys. He's in for life so he's either writing me a book, Haven't talked to him in 10yrs. Or the mail is way backed up so I've been reading on here that can happen. I'll hold out till the end of this month and try again. Oh one more thing I can just put CCI?

I got to thinking what if he can't afford a stamp? Can I send him a stamp in a letter or a self stamped envelope?

BVN4LIFE

you can send stamped envelopes upto 20 or a book of stamps... and if he is indigent(( meaning no money no stamps nothing)) then they provide 10 stamped envelopes a month.. and paper etc....

Do you trust your friend to write you back? I think thats the question. Follow your instincts! I am pretty sure that he will write you. Good luck buggy!

His sister inlaw said he's lonely and wants letters so I'm not to worried about him not writing back. We're old childhood friends but we parted ways when he was starting down his path of crime. He was hanging with some bad bad people and doing all sorts of drugs and he wouldn't listen to me. But I still have a spot in my heart for the big dummy cause he was, maybe some where deep inside a good guy still. I wonder to this day if I had been there he wouldn't be doing life.
