My friend is coming home within two weeks. However, I haven't
heard from him in over 3. Do they get moved somewhere where
they have no access to a phone or something? He's just "gone" or "missing" at this point. I sent him money to come out with too.

Have you checked the BOP site to see if indeed he was moved?? Hard to think they would go thru the expense of moving him shortly before release though. Good luck.

I have no explanation of why you haven't heard from him. Do you know what halfway house he is going to?

You might try phoning the chaplain at his facility if you are really worried.
