I finally got my phone line cleared for correctional calls. I told him in a letter about two weeks ago. When are they allowed to call? He's in B yard, if that makes a difference. Are the phone calls expensive?

It all depends on what the inmates status is ( If he has a job, ect. ) and I believe also, what Custody they are makes a difference. I am not sure on that though.

My husband is Medium Custody/A1A and he can use the phone all day :( and has a night call every other day. But, I only allow him to call 2 days a week!! I pay $ 5.30 for a 15 minute call.

From my experience it depends on several things. The best thing to do is to ask him when you visit. If that is a long time away, call his counselor. I called the main prison number then went to "0". I asked that person for directions and after telling them his name and number they told me his counselors name and number. I was able to talk to 2 or the three he has had. Call early in the morning around 7:30-8:30 am. The 2 that I talked with were helpful. Good Luck. -C

My husband is also on B. Day time calls seem to be the most free flowing. nights and weekend calls have to be signed up for in advance. My calls cost is 7.20 for 15.
