Do not try this. The "police" (COs) listen in on all conversations and will find out. Your man will get in trouble.

Once when me and William were talking about something I asked "What time did you get back from chow?" And he said "4:30". Then a voice came on and said "No, Chow ends at 5:30" I asked William who that was and he said the "police". They don't just record all conversations, they listen to them too!

I suggest you not try anything against the rules like 3-way calling.

they usually shut down the conversation - hang up the phone. If you have call waiting when the phone beeps your call will be disconnected. I wouldn't play with it - phone priviledges are that - priviledges.

In Florida the conversation gets terminated if you get caught and if they can prove it was a actually 3 way, then a DR, but its possible to do it, you just have to know how, pretty simple though!!!

Even if it is simple, it is still against the rules. And our men are in enough trouble already. It is best to stick to the rules and just as MrsBus said, "phone privileges are that - privileges". Privileges can and will be taken away. Don't take the risk of getting your man in trouble or losing your phone privileges all together. :(

Well I dont do them be/c its only 15 mins, but I have speaker phone and my other phone has it also and I put him on speaker and will call his mom on the other phone and put them both on speaker, this is not a three way and nothing that I do is illegal, be/c its as if she's at home with me...THe title 15 saids nothing about this so I'm good. Besides it only lasts about 3 mins quick hello, etc.

I have had them on the phone when we were having phone s...,, HA HA HA my hubby told them you are sick, but we knew they were hearing us be/c I could here it in the back ground, but aslong as they dont hang up the call, which has happened but be/c it wasnt his phone time, but they told him say goodbye...

I thought that was crazy though how the CO listened to our illicit conversation, when he got off the phone he told him that I was his wife and that he could do whatever he wanted with his phone time...He also told him if he ever did that again he would write a formal comaplaint against the CO...He never disconnected our phone again.Look if ur in the right then your alright but if yoru wrong dont argue about it

I didn't know 3 ways were illegal.. is that in Title 15 somewhere?

I've never done them, my phone doesn't even have that service, but I'm just curious...

yes qwerty they may not be illegal but the DOC doesnt allow it. its hard for them to know who the third party is and they have no way of knowing. they could be 3 waying someone that they arent allowed to talk to or setting something up they have no way of knowing so they dont allow it.

I've done it quite a few times, usually I'm the 3rd party. I've always heard that if he breathes real hard into the phone, they don' t hear the click over, you know what I mean? Weird ha? But I guess it works. And one time my son called me on 3way and they disconnected the call. I can't imagine it being anymore severe than that. Individual decision I guess.

Yeah I've done three ways with my man and he just blows on the phone, we've done it a whole bunch of times and never got caught. Only when I accidentally dial a digit then it will disconnect other than that it's all good.

I know about the blowing in the phone, etc. But ladies.......seriously......do you really want to give tips to other members on how to do something which is NOT ALLOWED? It doesn't matter how it "can be done", you are not supposed to do it. It's just like JamiesFeatherwood said, they don't want you doing a 3 way because they will not have a record of who you are calling, or who is talking to the inmate. I guess it is up to you if you want to take the risk, but in my opinion it is a bad idea. I'm not about to get my man in trouble.

I agree with Laura, I don't think that anyone should be trying to do this, I also know how to do it and not by blowing on the phone but I am not about to disclose this because I don't do it myself! Please ladies don't jeopardize your phone calls with your loved ones, when you don't get them you will see how much you miss them.

I know that at PVSP they will terminate the call if you are caught doing this, that's why I don't try because it's only 15 minutes. 15 minutes that I don't want to lose.

Gang, there are several, perfectly valid, reasons for "them" to want to know with whom an inmate is communicating and it's just not worth the risk you take to try to make an end run around the rules.

I make a point of saying out loud "Hang on, I'm switching to the cordless" and then confirming that I've done so, just so whoever is listening to the call knows what the noises are. I hate it, but I'm not running the slightest risk of getting my number blacklisted.

And THAT'S the point. The instiution can blacklist your number and you can't get calls from ANYBODY in a CDC facility. How much is your phone time worth?

Never done it and never would, my son has never asked me and he wouldn't it is illegal and they have rules for a reason. If he breaks the rules in prison all the time when he gets out will he break them all the time until he gets caught and sent back?

I've had my number blacklisted before and it's not a good feeling. I had to go through all this BS to finally have the prison listen to the phone conversation again. It took weeks but and when it was cleared and obvious that I DIDN'T do a three-way call I had lost weeks of talking to my hubby. This situation happened to me was a mistake imagine what would have happened if I did make a three-way call. It's not worth it ladies.

well he didnt get in trouble. Now we know when they are listening and actually talk back to them to let them know and they usually hang up.The phone clicks and keeps clicking. that's when we know.
