View Full Version : Any info about Two Rivers?
2Lovebirds 03-30-2006, 02:02 PM Please, if anyone has info about Two Rivers Correctional Facility.......they moved him to his permanent cell about a week ago and this unit he is in, they(the other inmates) don't let new arrivals sit down at any tables to eat their meals. Of course my man sat down anyway and 6 guys immediatly were going to jump him if he didn't get up he would go to the hole too although he didn't start a fight. The CO's just say well you might just have to get it over with, meaning they condone fighting and are saying he will have to go to the hole anyways?
I don't know if it would do any good to call the prison and tt the warden or whatever they're called. My man said he hasn't been able to eat. And since they moved him he doesn't have his commisary yet, at least he would have oatmeal.
Please, any suggestions?
one_luv 03-30-2006, 02:37 PM I'm sorry your man is going through this. Can't he stand up and eat? I don't think at this point it's prudent to call the warden- let him get settled in first.
2Lovebirds 04-01-2006, 12:16 AM He can sit down and eat at some of the tables now! And he got his commisary. Now if he can stay away from trouble so I can visit him in a couple weeks.
one_luv 04-01-2006, 09:23 AM I'm glad to hear things are going better. Hang in there!
honeyg 04-03-2006, 06:47 PM My man just got out of 42 days in the hole there and now is going through 2 weeks of loss of privileges. He usually gets along with most everyone so I hope he doesn't run into the same problems as your man. I'd hate for him to do anything to land himself back in the hole since I haven't seen him since he was taken to jail in January. Glad to hear your guy is doing better.
2Lovebirds 04-04-2006, 12:26 AM Honey G, I thot that if they were sent to "the hole" that they would lose all 6 months of good time and have no commissary or visits or phone calls for 6 months???
honeyg 04-04-2006, 01:24 PM He was sent to the hole straight from Coffee Creek. 42 days in the hole followed by 2 weeks of loss of privileges is his punishment for violating his transitional leave. It may be different if you break a rule while doing your time and get put in the hole. Hopefully we won't find out about that but whatever, we'll make it through.

This is not correct. While I'm not sure about good time, they only loose their privelages (comissary, phone, etc) for as long as they are in the hole for. Hole time can be from a few days to 6 months. It depends on the rule violation and their history. They can get visits, but it is through glass for an hour immediate family only.
2Lovebirds 04-05-2006, 01:58 AM Thanks one_luv. I also hope like HoneyG that we never have to find out. He sent me the rule booklet and it took me 3 nights to read it. It made me very sleepy. I imagined him having to read & know everything in there...... or else! Good thing he has a good memory, I have health issues that cause memory problems. I would probably forget my cell# !
tristanemilio 04-10-2007, 09:03 PM I HOPE MY MAN DOSE NOT GO THROUGH THAT...BECAUSE I DONT THINK THAT HE WILL BACK DOWN AND SIT ON THE FLOOR TO EAT

ricklee 06-15-2008, 10:45 PM my son was transfer from coffee creek on june 10th to two river correction,my question is ,when am i able to visit him after he fill out his visiter list,is there a set time in which they process these papers, and do i need to set up a appointment with the correctional facilty before i go up see him when we get the o.k.and what do they mean by minium, medium,is it about the time you are sentences? any answer will be great.thanks for your time
honeyg 06-15-2008, 10:56 PM It takes a while for the list to be checked out and approved but you can call the prison to find out if your name is approved. Your son will know whether he is medium or minimum. It has to do with the length of his sentence, the severity of his crime and what his point level is. Visting at Two Rivers isn't bad as long as you follow the rules regarding dress code. The first visit is always nerve wracking because you don't know what to expect but I found the staff there to be really decent. There are a couple of decent motels nearby that offer a discount when you are visiting the prison so make sure to ask for one if you decide to stay over. There are 2 three hour visits per day. Your son will have so many points per month for visits. Weekend visits are 2 points while weekdays use up 1 point per person visiting so if more people than you will be visiting, it is something to keep in mind. The visiting room is a big open area with rows of chairs, a row of vending machines and a children's play area. There are cards and other games that you can play to pass the time when you run out of things to talk about. Visits are really important so go and have a good one.

is my son able to have anything from the vending machine if we pay for it,while were there with him? how mant weeks does it take to process the visiter list?weeks?do we need to make appointment each time we go to see him.or do we just go there? and are we able to see him on both visiting time,my son said he's on medium,so are the visiting day and time different then minium? sorry for the the questions, new to all of this, your response will be appreciated. thanks rick
one_luv 06-16-2008, 11:23 PM Yes, he can have vending machine food. I estimate 2-4 weeks to be approved for visiting. If you have a clean record, it will be on the lesser end of that spectrum. You do NOT make an appointment for visiting. Visiting hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m AND state holidays (even if it falls on a Mon or Tue).
ricklee 08-09-2008, 05:04 PM we were just there this weekend,my son is a new inmate there too,he has had no trouble there,he said he did sat at a table where he wasn't suppose to sit so he just got up,he say you are suppose to be invited to sit at a table, but that only take one day,he said everything in there is cool and everyone seem to get along, there only 100 person in each unit and that'd it,no more then that.maybe your husband maybe in a tougher unit,i don't know, just what my son is saying to me.hope he will adjust,i notice alot of the inmates that i saw when visiting my son was alot older,my son is only 20 years old, don't know if that has anything to do with it.let me know how's he doing.it tooks us 47 days to get approve to visit him, because of all the applications, what a jokePlease, if anyone has info about Two Rivers Correctional Facility.......they moved him to his permanent cell about a week ago and this unit he is in, they(the other inmates) don't let new arrivals sit down at any tables to eat their meals.
