can some one tell me how do i go about transfering an inmate to alabama from ct.i need help !


Well, probably the first thing you should do is call either the CT DOC or ADOC and find out if inmates in Connecticut are even eligible for transfer to Alabama. My understanding is that Alabama only has interstate compact on inmate transfers with certain states, but I don't know whether CT is one of them or not. Someone who handles interstate transfers at either DOC should be able to tell you, and if CT is an eligible state they should be able to inform you of what the procedure is.

If CT is an eligible state, generally they will only transfer if there is an Alabama inmate who wants to go to that state - i.e., a swap. Which means if CT is an eligible state, you could apply for transfer but if there is no one in Alabama wanting to go to CT, you could be on a waiting list for a while if there is.

But again, someone at either DOC involved with interstate transfers can give you full information as well as tell you whether CT is an eligible state for transfer with Alabama or not.

Has he got an upcoming parole hearing? If so, then where he's going to parole to will be part of his parole hearing paperwork. They will want it specified when he goes up for hearing where he's going to be paroling to. If you want him paroled to CT instead of AL then you need to contact the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles, but only if he's got an upcoming parole hearing...
