Does anyone know how longs it takes for an inmate to receive a package after its been delivered to the facility?

I purchased my husbands package online through californiainmatepackage.com and was provided a tracking # to track its delivery status through UPS. It shows his package was delivered 03/24. I spoke with him this morning and he has yet to receive it. He says its probably sitting in the warehouse. Well we all know this quarter is up Friday March 31st, does anyone know how long its gonna take for them to release it to him? I am pissed because I cant believe it took this long, plus if he doesnt receive it by Friday what will happen to it?

Is he on lockdown? They generally don't give out packages when on lockdown (the rule is that they never do, but my brother got his a couple days ago). If not on lockdown, they seem to usually get the package within 1-2 weeks of it getting to CTF. If yours was delivered on the 24th, that's perfectly normal that he wouldn't have gotten yet since it's only been a few days.

As for it being the end of the quarter, I wouldn't worry since the date it is received by the instiution is what matters, and not the actual day they give it to the recipient. As long as it was delivered by the end of the quarter (which it was) you should be fine.

Also, the institution may hand out packages on certain days. I know at CSATF they get their's on Wednesday's, unless there is a lockdown.
He should receive it just fine since it arrived before the 31st.

I am kind of stressed out now. I called Access and questioned them about sending a first quarter package yesterday. My son was just now "mainlined" so I could not order it sooner. They told me if I ordered it yesterday on March 28th that it would count as a first quarter package and I would be able to order another one next week when it is a second quarter package. Now, reading some of your posts it sounds like the package must be received before April 1st. I checked with Access and they have NOT sent it out yet and they are in Missouri!!!! They should know how it all works as they do this for inmates all over the country all the time. They did say that it would be there in time but now I wonder.........what do all of you think?

Access ships packages within a few days after ordering. My fiance is at CTF and last time it took 2 weeks from the time it arrived there until they handed it out to him. I think it doesn´t matter when it´s shipped as long as you order it until end of March it still counts for the first quarter!
