Hi, I just wanted to know if I can get a little more hope than I already have, I pray and pray every day and would like to know some opinions.
My bf was sentenced to 6 months in a federal detention center for illegal reentry. I found out I was a month pregnant when he was locked up. I am here in Mexico waiting for him. He was to be deported on march 14 and just in the border he was returned because he has pending charges in nueces county, texas. He had I think it was 3 state felony charges for forgery, of which 2 were dismissed and the one left was the one that had a bail of $10000. And one minor drug offense classified as MB. He has always lucked out, I believe God is on our side. When he was 18, he was charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon, although he wasnt doing the crime, he was just with the wrong people at the wrong time. He didnt have to do jail time, he got 7 years probation. 2 years later he was caught with drugs (which he wasnt going to take, his mother in law insisted that he take it because he was so tired from his 2 jobs trying to support his newborn baby). He was arrested for parole violation and given 2 years. He was then deported to mexico. He went back and that is when he received those current charges he has now. But he knew he was facing a lot of time so he came back to mexico and its where we met. He has changed a lot, he stopped using drugs, we planned on getting married, which wasnt even in his vocabulary. I prayed he would be back by the time our son is born so when I knew he only received 6 months, I knew it was a miracle, since reentry can be up to 10 years. Now, I have been having problems with this pregnancy due to stress, was at risk of preterm labor. My bf has turned to God, and started reading the bible and having faith, which before, he used to think that God had abandoned him. I have tried to do everything possible to get him to come back in time. I wrote to the judge handling his case, I was told that judge is a very nice person and very understanding. I explained our situation. Mario didnt return to the US to live, he was going to drop off his kids. He has changed, he is a good person and I KNOW for a fact that after going through this, he will not commit any more crimes. I also wrote to the governor, just in case. And I went to the mexican consulate and they are trying to help as well. We are hoping that he is given time served for the federal time he already did, and if it is necessary we will pay any fine imposed. But we just want him to be back in time for our baby's birth and dont want him there any longer. His trial is april 20, which would be a month after he shouldve been released. Is there any hope, that this judge being so comprehensive will let him out and deport him? Or at least receive a minimum sentence? I dont want my child to spend his first year of time, which is the most import without his daddy. I still pray every night and try to keep myself informed from a different country. I believe in God, and I believe in miracles.
