Can anyone tell me about visiting Brickeys? Like, what are the hours or days? How long are visitors allowed to stay?
What are prison weddings in Arkansas like? Can the bride wear a wedding dress and do the husband and wife kiss?
Thank you.

My husband was at Brickey's up until about two months ago, and when he first went in, he was class 2 so I got to visit on Saturdays. If the inmates last name begins with A thru N, you can visit every 1st and 3rd Saturday. If the last name begins with N thru Z, you can visit every 2nd and 4th Saturday. If there is a 5th Saturday in a month, well, no one visits. The above is for inmates who are class 2 thru 4. When he gets class 1, he can have a visit EVERY Sunday, I think, now my husband got transferred after he got class 1c, and I only got to visit a couple of Sundays, therefore we never encountered a 5th weekend. Visits are from 12:00 to 4:00, and they have inmates jaycees there where you can get some hot foods ( frito pie, nachos, fries), coffee, pint ice cream, and pictures of you two (pics are 3.00 each). They also have machines. I'm sorry, I don't know anything about the wedding part of your question, and this is how things were when my husband was at Brickey's. When you first get there, the guards will search your car, you will park and when you enter the first building, go ahead and sign yourself in, take your shoes off, and lay your money, keys, shoes, etc. in the little cubbies so the guard can check them then you'll go through the metal detector, put your shoes on and go to the next building where they'll check you in and send you into the visitation room. You will have your own table and 4 chairs. I hope this helps, but if you want to make sure of your loved ones visitation times and dates you can call the visitation clerk at Brickeys and she can tell you for sure.
