It is referred to as both MICA and MICAA and is the same treatment system.

I'm new on this sight. I'm an ex-convict Supervisor of the dual diagnosis/mica componant of a mental health recovery program. This is not a program as much as it is a population within the mental health system. It is those individuals who have a mental health diagnosis and a substance abuse/dependence diagnosis. Co-occurring "Both at the same time" disorder. To be effective with Recovery from a co-occurring Disorder's diagnosis one needs to work on both simultaniously, "Not independently, not work on one at a time. They are so connected that working on one while not working on the other at the same time will allow the disorder not worked on to effect and stop the recovery of the other being addressed. This is my forte, this is what I do. John/Runner.

Every outpatient on your list is now closed. Crossings ran into some difficulty "legal" and decided to close. A year or so before that all of Lake Grove's places closed. As I write Nepenthe is closing. For "Dual Diagnosis" You might want to Call the Federation Of organizations W. Babylon (631)321-8229 ex 270 or their Patchogue office (631)447-6460 Ex 2102 or2184. Both places have a good :Dual Diagnosis/Co-Occurring Disorders track.
