View Full Version : Hi There! I'm new!
Freddie'sangel 03-23-2006, 05:53 PM Hi, I've only just found out about this site. I have been writing to my penpal who is on Death Row, for 2 yrs. He has become my soul mate over this time. I live in England and find it very frustrating at times, being so far away. I would dearly love to visit, but so far, it has not been possible - due to my circumstances. (financial mainly).
I have had a lot of negative feedback from friends and family about my realtionship with this inmate, they dont seem to understand why I do what I do...
Hope I can find people to talk to on here who are in the same position as me....

sandy59 03-24-2006, 02:35 AM Hi
I am also in the UK and have been writing to my pen pal for a while now, I am just about to make my second visit over there. My family and friends also don't really understand why I do what I do, but I just carry on doing it and they carry on not understanding. What part of the UK are you from?

nuttybabe 05-11-2006, 12:47 PM Hi, I'm sam from West Yorkshire in the Uk and yes I know what your saying about it being so fustrating that we are so far away. I hope to travel out there in the near future. I'm going to the Domincan Republic next week for a couple of weeks holiday on my own and then I'll have to start saving for next year. Hopefully it will be the USA here I come.

Greetings Fredo's Angel :)
I am new here too and joining for the same reasons. I know exactly what you are talking about when you say friends and family don't understand. Most of my friends and family don't undersand, fortunately some do, others I just didn't tell. It's almost like they think just because someone does a bad thing, there is nothing good in them. I on the other hand can find something good in everybody and try and stay focused on that good part I see. I also tend to focus on how things are (between me and my pen friends) rather than how things look (to the people who don't even try to understand).
