Can anyone give guidance on what to expect for an 18 yr. white man, armed robbery--probably 10 yrs. with 5 years suspended. Processed in Baltimore, then to MCTC and hopefully to Patuxent Youth Offender Program. Took a plea and we have no idea what the sentence will be, but prosecutor indicated within guidelines of 5-10. My son didn't even have a gun, but the plea was better than lst degree murder, conspiracy, handgun, armed robbery which the shooter received. My son was driving the car and was charged exactly like the shooter. What can he expect?

Welcome to PTO. I don't know much about MCTC, but I believe a couple of the MD ladies have loved ones there. Hopefully they will be around soon.

My boyfriend was there i believe he went there at 21...I havent had to deal with anything bad happening to him except for trouble with the C.O.'s trying to give him a new charge.. but they are not all like that also, in regards to other inmates he really didnt tell me anything about that, he got into a couple of fights but my boyfriend also has a mouth on him.
