Yep, I hate dope. As far as I am concerned we should nuke Columbia and any other drug producing county! Well that might be a little harsh, but damn them! Look at what dope has done. Those of us who have loved ones who are addicted to them have reason to hate dope and dope dealers. Without one or the other, our loved ones might not have their illness. But only God know's the real answer to why they got on the stuff to start with. I do not believe there should be any legalization of dope at all. It will just keep producing addiction. And more of us will lose loved ones to it. If our govenment, local, state and federal would go after the source and the dealers it might help the situation. But that would cost too much just as helping the addict recover and get off of it costs to much... at least in the legal systems eyes. Dope almost cost me my dear wife's life. It did cost me her loss while she is having to serve time. I wonder if I can take that loss off my taxes? Not meaning to be funny at all. It is just a thought that might wake up our court system.

Down with Dope!!!!

Actually it doesnt cost too much to help the addicts, it cost less than half of the cost of prisons. It costs approximately $22 a day to have an addict in treatment and approx $48 to have them in prison without treatment. Then if you add in to all that the court cost, legal costs, cost to loved ones, someone in the Whitehouse and various other world leaders headquarters arent doing their math properly or are following the wrong lead or perhaps there are things we just don't know because the system as it is now does not make sense and does not stop addiction or at least does not help reduce addiction, or help those already addicted.
JR Im so sorry you have to go threw this, and sorry your wife has ended up on this path. Prayers for both of you.

Witchlin,
Thank you for your concern for my wife and myself. It is deeply appreciated. I agree with what you said about the costs betweeen prison and proper help for those who are addicted. It is so sad that our country has allowed this to continue. But it has. I am going to burn up the mail boxes with letters to everyone I can think of, I am going to do what ever I can to keep this issue alive with anyone and everyone I can. If I can reach one person to listen to look at the facts, then maybe, just maybe the word will get spread. I want to remain positive about this, I don't want to just bow down to the system and let them win without a fight.

We all need to work together on this, those of us who have suffered from addiction, either with ourselves or with our loved one's, we need to band together and make a stand.

God knows I am so much in love with my wife and I will do anything and everything in this world to help her. I want her back, I want her to live.
I want her to know that there is a life beyond what she has been through in both the dope and prison. And I will give her that life no matter what I have to do. With God's help, I will see that she has a life!

God Bless

JR

You should nuke the entire planet then I am afraid.
Drugs exists and people will allways try them.
And yes, some people get addicted to them.
Like my husband.

I am sorry for you and your wife.
Addicts should not go into prison.
