I Just Spoke To My Brother Tonight He Is In Gowanda .we Found Out Last Week He Didn't Make Parole ,but That Didn't Surprise Me From What I Read On Pto . He Is 6 Hours From Me And 71/2 From My Mom Who Is Not In Good Health She Can't Go That Far To See Him , He May Be Getting Moved At Some Point But It Will Still Be Far From His Family. O.k. Here Is The Question He Said Someone Told Him To Have Me Call Movement Control And Classification In Albany . Has Anyone Ever Heard Of Them ?? I Am Pretty Sure That It Will Do No Good To Ask And I Told Him That .but I Also Said I Would Try To Get A Phone # He Was Going To Ask The Guy Who Told Him If He Could Get The Phone # . I Wish It Would Work So My Mother Could See Him But I Have No Hopes Of It Working. I Have Been To See Him And Will Be Going Again Soon . HE IS DONE WITH HIS DWI CLASSES AND THEY SHOULD BE MOVING HIM SOON . BUT WHO KNOWS !! THANKS AND GOD BLESS !!

Classification and movement will just refer you back to his counselor. If he has completed all required programs, has no disciplinary problems and has been in the same hub for two years, he can apply for an area of preference transfer. He should speak with his counselor. There is no such thing as hardship when it comes to transfers, not even a sick relative. My guy's mother had cancer twice, he's her only child, she's seventy and hasn't seen him in more than five years, we had senators and legislators write on our behalf. Nothing worked. Tell him to do all the programs, keep out of trouble and apply for the area of preference transfer once he's put in enough time it that hub. Good luck!

Thanks for the Info I did speak to classification and movement and it didn't do me any good.I was told by the man I spoke to that he has my brothers classifications papers were there now to lower him to a min prision but they are two months behind so it could be 6 to 8 months before he would be transfered to the prision his counselor put in for ,she told him he had to stay in the hub he is in , It will be closer than Gowanda but still a long ways for my mom . HE will be in 1 year in May SO HOPEFULLY HE WILL GET OUT ON CONDITIONAL IN MAY OF 2007. HE IS DONE WITH HIS DWI CLASSES . HIS COUNSELOR TOLD HIM HE DIDN'T BELONG THERE HE SHOULD BE IN A MIN. ANYWAY !! NOW ISN"T THAT SOMETHING ?? I GUESS I JUST DON'T GET THE DOCS GUESS I WILL STILL TRY WRITTING LETTERS .I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ADVICE !:)
