Hi my son is at St.Clair and has been since Jan 3 but he is in a 6 month program. From what I hear the therapectice program is 18 months long and it is tough, some
do not make it all the way thru because is it being so tough. My son was order to
do that program but since he was kept in county jail 3 months then at Kilby for a little over a month that didn't leave him enough time to do it since his EOS date is
March 2007. You will need to be put on the visiting list by your boyfriend and he can tell you after he has been there for a week when you can visit. They have a
list that you can pick up when you leave that tells you when you can visit and time. They rotate by the first letter of last name visiting is Sat 8-11 and 12-3 then
Sun 8-11 and 12-3. Be sure you go exactly by the rules for they will not let you
visit or send you back to car to put something up. Only jewelry that can be worn
is a wedding band and that is it. No white clothes period, $20.00 in quarters in a ziploc bag or clear makeup bag. No shorts, sleeveless tops, capri pants except below the knee, jogging suits or anything that looks like a jogging suit, you can wear a jacket in but you must leave it at proper place. You get search, shoe off they look at your feet,if you wear socks you have to take them off, white panies only and you must wear panies, they have you to raise your top, shake your bra to see if you
have anything in bra, undo pants and show them what you have on,check pockets and down legs. I have found St.Clair to be clean and guards are nice if you act
right all I have seen is making people go put something up in car like jewelry. You
can hug upon arrival and when you leave in fact they will even let you kiss but not
very long I have seen it,they are understanding in that line. If you need to know anything else we will help you and I hope I have help you some..........mother1952

Ok this is what I know, the TC program is a 18 mths program, it is very hard, and alot don't make it. My son refused the TC program, he was "Recommended" by the Judge to go to the TC program, and when he got to Kilby they changed the ruling to say "Ordered", however my son refused the program because he didn't have 18 mths left until his EOS date (which is 4/19/06 ......27 more days), and he knew he couldn't make it threw the program, he did try to enroll into other program but they wouldn't let him since ADOC ordered him to TC....anyway, when he came up for parole last Oct, he was denied, they sent a letter to the Judge and brought him back to court for a review hearing last month, but nothing happened, the Judge was just upset that the ADOC didn't get him into another program, he wasn''t sent back to Ventress, he is in a work release awaiting his EOS date. So, that my son's story. If you pull put some of my old posts you should find alot of info on the TC program, because just as you I wanted to know about it, I recall getting alot of good info from others. I hope this helps you. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a pm.
God Bless
Linda
