I have mixed emotions.. I mean I know my hubby is in CCI, and that is all good, but I want to see what is is like...
all I could do was shake my head..First and foremost..I do NOT think females should work in Male prisons, and all that rambling she was doing about the male inmates need the woman cos there for emotional support etc..that was a CROCK to me.:angry: .. if it were so those cats in the library would NOT have said what they said..and yes us as woman are emotional, and she was just making herself look DUMB!! then there was another one..In the beginning the one female CO said if you have nails etc, you want to take them off..yadayadayada..and then they interview ole girl and she is made all up and has acrlyic nails on, come on is this a fashion show or a job.. and she was so proud to say, the unit I work on house Molestors and Rapist and Murderers...Ok, you want to work there again because:eek: ??? And then to verbally voice that you are intimadated by the inmates. WOW!!! They just made me want to scream...THen the masterbating scene... Oh well., I mean what do you expect you work on a tier with LIFERS and men who have not seen or had Poompoom in YEARS... I mean you can choose to turn away while he is showering.. And then to continue to watch and ask maintenence what he was doing...OMG...I was appauled.. I dont agree with that at all.. I am sure there were Male COs available to let him out for shower.. Come on here, what is this a JOB or a Freak Show... I mean I am NOT saying women should be disrespected, but if I were a woman CO in an ALLLL male prison I would expect to get wahtever..especially if I wore make up and fake nails... So transfer to a womans prison or to visiting check in there are other options:blah: ... I think.but
On a more positive note, I did like that they showed the inside of the cells and what they go through.. and how yard looks...WHATS up with the pink blankets and towels:idea: ???? Hmmmmm, that was weird to me.
Well, It is what it is I guess... Thank God my hubby is on that med crazy hook-up..He cant transfer there....Yeeehaw!:thumbsup:

BVN~Im right there with you girl!! I too also have mixed feelings about what I saw! I definatly dont think women should be able to let our men out for showers or strip them out at all. That sets the inmate and the c/o up for disaster..... Just like BVN said they havent seen it for a long time so its only human for them to feel that way! What I really didnt like was the attitudes that the c/o's had. I thought that was terrible work ethic! They choose to be corrections officers and they knew exactly what they were getting into when they applied for that job. Its obvious to me that every last one of them enjoy the adrenilin rush they get when the alarm goes off. For them to have a negative attitude right off hand well they already messed up. I thought it was good to actually see the cells etc. I now know what my man was facin and all the times he had an attitude after he came off lockdown, now I know why. They dont even have room to breath in the cell and to be down for weeks or months at a time is pure torture! Ughhhh this just makes me pray harder and harder for my man to continue to make good choices so that he can come home so I can pamper him..... My babe doesnt even have a violent crime but yet he is housed and treated like he does! Explain that one????

I feel you girl.. My hubby does NOT have a violent crime either, and is on Lev 4 and housed with Lifers, and I know he has an attitude and he has all those points, but hey.. It is what it is..that cell just made me want to dig a tunnel underneath just so he could have more room to breath, now I know what he means when he says that he had an arguement with his cellie, I would be in the HOLE all the time just for some ME ALONE time. I mean to have to endure another mans Sh@@$R#%## and things like that and have the thing of the metal and no rubber edges and that when you are on the top your feet swing over, and UGGGGHHHHH I can NOT talk about it girl. I get sooooo Hurt and sad.. BUT like you said.. PRAYER, and hey they have come this far.. and with us on their side they have nothing but victory on their side.... Heyyyyyyyyyyah

It was called Inside Supermax at Kern Valley State Prison.... I am not sure if it is gonna be on again????

Okay ladies, for those of you that saw the program, is this program gonna make me really angry about the treatment of our men? I need to know before I rearrange my sleeping schedule to get up at 2am to watch it.

It might upset you!! I think I was more in aww than anything else. It was very interesting to see the inside of the cell! I think all of our men have see the inside of the cell at some point during lockup! I am glad that I saw it because I can relate just a little bit more than before now that I actually see what he has to go through!

Sorry... I didn't think about all the providers I just saw 2:00 a.m. on the TLC site. I know I'm going to get upset about what I see but I'm going to look past that and try to get an idea of the environment because I know its nothing like I've seen on Oz or Prison Break.

No it is actually worse, because it is REAL!!!!Those actors can go home and that is a stage set,,, our men are really in cages and small rooms no where to breath smelling each others farts and things..grossss
