Well, I received a call from him on Saturday and he was really upset, he said that there was a group of guys that were giving him a hard time and telling him that he was going to be their b****. OMG I have been a mess since then. The depression is setting in and I am scared for him. I told him if it gets really bad he needs to ask to be put in protective custody. If anyone else has any ideas please let me know. I know that most likely they are seeing how far they can push him and to see what he is made of but I don't know if this is the right way to think or not. Please someone give me some ideas> Susan

HANG IN THERE HON... YOU ARE CORRECT ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING.... THEY KNOW HE IS AFRAID SO THEY ARE PUSHING HIM.... STAY IN CONTACT BY PHONE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND IF IT CONTINUES, THEN YOU CALL THE PRISON AND TELL THE SUPERINTENDANT WHAT IS HAPPENING..

like Budwoman said, "hang in there!" - you'll need to be extra strong for your son now - I know when there were/are difficult times for any of my children, letting them hear strength in my voice, (though I maybe as scared as they were), helped them through their time of trouble. Being a mom isn't always easy, but I am told our love goes a long way. Keep us informed on how he is doing.

I am so sorry to hear that Susan. Hang in there. Take care of yourself, hard as that may be. They need us to be well and strong for them. I think also that they are putting him to the test, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier for you to deal with. My thoughts are with you. Take care.
