Had a 2 hr miserable drive to St.Clair for it was raining and hard to see. Going thru Birmingham is not fun when you have to watch every inch to
keep from getting hit. The visit was great just seeing him was worth the
drive since we only go every 2 weeks. He said he was doing ok considering
where he was at and how he was hoping he would get parole on April 4 then he could turn a door knob to go to enter home with us,drink coffee and just relax for a little while and most of all be free. He says he is very
determined to stay away from drugs and follow the bible and go to church
like he learned to do in jail and at St.Clair. Hearing this from my son is wonderful for he had no faith, didn't read bible or go to church in about 12
years. He told us about tutoring 3 other guys and that he had help them
come up on their score and that made him feel real good that he did that.
My son for many years had felt like he was a failure in many things for he
had not accomplished very much for drugs was his life and that is what matter to him. Hopefully our lives will be much better when he comes home and we can be happy and not worrying about drugs being in his life.
Just remember to follow rules exactly as stated for if you don't there will
be no visiting. Some had to go back to cars and put jewelry up and some
wanted to wear coats to see inmate. We found St.Clair to be as clean as
always and the guards as nice also. God Bless All and Hold to His Hand....
