HEY PBE...whats a marriage interview---what does that mean??

When you want to get married you have to meet with a counselor and your husband before you can get married, and he will talk alone with you as well, to tell you about his crime, etc etc, to make sure you are making the right decision.

Yes that is is exactly :) And I can't wait because as I have heard it , after your interview you are married within a month !!!! And I can't wait to marry my boobear :yay:

At the facility my husband is located in, it's done the last wednesday of the month.
Mine was with my husband and his counselor/marriage coordinator, he didn't have to explain his charges, only his sentence. Filled out and signed marriage licence application and she checked my i.d.s and we chose a date.
That was it, all of about 5-10 mins.

I had my interview the day before the marriage. Basically, the hubby and I sat down with the marriage counselor and another lady who filled out the paperwork for the license. After that was done, the marriage counselor opened up his file and went over his crime and his sentence and when he is eligible for a transfer to a place with FRP visits. She asked me if I had any questions and that was it. :)

Pow and I were married the next day. LMAO. Interview was on Wednesday, jumped the broom Thursday! :thumbsup:

I had mine over the phone because of the distance and then was given our wedding date.

Yeah it's plain to see Auburn is whack in the wedding process... You have to wait a year from when you are approved to have your interview. They tell you his crime and etc, then they only do his marirage lisence paper work. You still have to wait a week or so and go to Auburn City Hall to do your part. Then when that's done you can pick a Saturday ...


Sheesh !!! But my boobear is worth it so I am trying to remain patient.... ( EVEN THOUGH I WANT TO MARRY HIM NOW !!!! :love:)

We were just talking about this process yesterday- if my fiance' is denied at his board in May, we may start the process. We had planned to marry this August (before he went back in) - the snotty counselor at work release's last remark to him was "you might not get married this year after all" with a smirk - you all know what I'd like to do to him!

yes all u will do is have an interview like u were told. the interview is not along process. depending where he is u have to schedule it on the week day only. when i got married 9/15/06 in Elmira i was allowed to whitnesses.he took some kind of anger classes. recieved his certificates and we had our trailor three months later and every 45 day's after that. good luck.
