Health chiefs fear cheap heroin will attract more young users

Around 249 Ulster people are being treated for heroin use in Northern Ireland, it can be revealed today.
And some 168 people are registered as addicts.
While figures for abuse are not rising dramatically according to health chiefs, there are fears that cheaper forms of the drug could attract younger users.
