I'm new to your website and am wondering if I might be able to obtain some info regarding HR 5296. My wife is currently incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp at Greenville, IL. She received a sentence of 1 year and 1 day for tax evasion and began serving her sentence on April 11th of this year. She has received an "out" date of Feb. 23rd 2004. There are MANY rumors running around the facility regarding early releases for 1st time non-violent offenders and the most prevelant rumor regards HR 5296. Can anyone tell me if ths is a possibility and if it would affect my wife? Has it been voted on? has it even come up yet? And info woul dbe greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

The link above is the page full of threads referencing 5296 (most recent being your's)....here at PTO.. Give them a read, and evaluate your wife's position in it's passage if it still applies.

Good luck..
This thread is headed to Laws and Legislation forum...
Tidy to be found by other new legislation hounds.

PS>.. If you didn't know the search engine icon is uppermost upper-right on the task bar atop main page. It's squirrelled off to the right on a very large page. It responds to at least 4 characters. I gave it the number. The HR could have broken a Window and given me no results.

Happy Hunting.!
