I have no personal experience with visiting there but I found this on the CDC site

Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Major Holidays* from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

*New Year's Day, Independence Day,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas

Visiting at CVSP is available on weekends and major holidays. Visiting hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with visitor processing beginning at 8:00 a.m. No visitor will be processed after 2:00 p.m.

Please contact our visiting staff for further information at (760) 922-5300, ext. 5104.

Also found this little tidbit on a website regarding visiting

Chackawalla is a breath of fresh air after Ironwood. Much better, colored jeans are allowed, no blue or acid wash though. No see-thru or sheer clothing, 2 inches above the knee for shorts and skirts. No sleeveless, tanks, spaghetti straps. No forest or khaki green, no chambray blue.
No limit on jewelry. They say no underwire bra, again, no problem there. You can bring in one pack of sealed cigarettes, and a lighter (inmates are not allowed to smoke in visiting). One key, a see-thru small-med. plastic purse or bag, ones and quarters , total $30, same rules as far as money.Again, there is an Esperanza Center which has clothing available, also snacks and limited childcare

Hello....regular visits at CVSP are a snap compared to most other prisons I've been to. Processing is quick (it NEVER took me more than 30 minutes) and the staff is pleasant to deal with. As for clothing, they are fairly easy-going and allow more to go thru than Ironwood (i.e. no restrictions on jewelry, flip flop sandals are ok, etc.). If you have more specific questions, please feel free to post here or PM me and I'll do my best to get back with you asap.

Take care!
