This is the first time i go threw this so i need a lil help. i need some more information about (NKSP) anything. :confused: it would be helpfull to me. what should i expect?

my fiance was just sent to nksp for reception 2 weeks ago so im sorta new at this 2.this site although has totally helped give me tons of info,that otherwise i wouldnt have known.lets start with the basics?is he in reception(just been transferred from county jail),or just another prison?Then u can let me know if u have ne questions about mail,visiting,phones and if i cant answer them,on here i can definately find someone tht can.coming from someone who was in your shoes two weeks ago or should i say still is,i feel your pain.Hope i can help.

Hi, ILuvJRL- I didn't mean to forget about you. How are you holding up? Hopefully all is well with you and yours. It sounds to me like you have a sweetheart on your hands. He seems to have your best intrests at heart. You've come to the right place. We all understand. A bit of advice: Write often. Let him know your still here. It can take anywhere from four days to four weeks to get to him, but he will get his mail: eventually. The less you stress- the less he'll stress. Have him send you a Visiting Questionnaire as soon as he touches base that way you can feel it out right away and see him. After you've filled it out it can take anywhere from three weeks to three months to be cleared, but here in Delano it's farely fast. If there's one thing you will learn entering the prison system- it's: patience. And, once you're through the prison system not only will you have learned patience- but, you'll have learned that patience proves worthwhile. Good luck. Take care.

HEy misseshiskisses: how are you? ive been okay how about you? like i said before he is going to go in on the 27th of this month.. its just been real hard for me knowing that he will be leaving me soon and it will be awhile until the next time we see each other. we are trying to spend more time with each other since he will be leaving. its hard knowing that one day ill see him and the next he wont be hear to hold me. but like i always tell him we will get threw this no matter what. how are things with you and your love? i hope things are great. have you visited your husband yet? well i hope everything is alright and ill talk to you soon. I am quite okay considering the circumstance, thanks for asking. I'm glad to hear from you. I was a bit worried... Oh, I've misunderstood you completely. I've been under the impression that he was in County leaving for "Reception?" So, then I'm really confused? If you don't mind my asking? How long is he going to do? Well, hopefully not that long- but, if so then he won't be sent up state. Do you know yet? Or are you pretty much preparing for the worst? Um... well, find the bright side, at least you know he's leaving and you have these extra hours to spend with each other. Just keep in mind it doesn't stop just because he's in prison... it has the chance to continue once he's out again. Stay strong. Believe in each other wholeheartedly and nothing will ever come between you, not time or distance.
As for me and mine- we're standing strong. As of yet the barriers of communication are slowly becoming few. I have the priviledge to write knowing he'll receive my letters and he's been writing in faith that they'd reach me- and, they have. So that's great. No, I actually received the Visiting Questionnaire last Wednesday and sent it in that day. I've yet to be cleared. Clearance, I hear is quite fast: about three weeks. So I haven't visited yet. But, I do intend to- just as soon as I'm able to.
