I Am In Mississippi, About 500 Miles From There And It Takes About Three Days For Me To Get His Letter. He Always Dates It For Me. I Am New To Pto. Joined Yesterday, But Am Looking For People With Loved Ones In Brickey To Keep Up With Whats Going On There, Alsoi Noticed This Was Posted In Jan. Are You Still Out There? Planning A Visit To Brickey In Dec.o6. Also I Have A Prison Ministry ,we Try To Help Guys Who Need Money ,or Would Like To Have Bibles. God Bless! Fuzzy retired 10-06-2006, 09:13 AM I work at Brickeys-something that you want to know I will do my best to answer and the answer will be the truth. retired 10-06-2006, 09:16 AM How long does it take for mail to get to inmates in Brickey's and how long does it normally take for mail to get to a loved one in a different state (I live in Iowa)? -Sierra When I mail a letter to a business in town, the mail goes to Memphis and come back to the Post Office. Then the mail is pickup at the Post Office, delivered to the prison, sorted, and then the inmate may receive it in a day or two. As far as getting to Brickeys (notice the spelling) it probably would take 5-6 days depending on any and every thing. retired coleen3 01-07-2007, 09:57 AM My man is in Brickeys and has not been getting his mail. I send a letter at least every other day, and I live in AR! I do this to help keep his spirits up. We talk once a week and he told me today that he has not gotten a letter for two weeks. When he does get them they are at least two weeks old! Anyone else having this problem? Is there someone I should call? I'm so upset! wrhtc 01-07-2007, 03:41 PM My husband is at Brickey's also, and we are having the same problems with the mail. I have no idea who to talk to about this. And I don't know why the mail is so slow or not getting there at all. ittybittykitty 01-09-2007, 03:13 PM We've had problems getting mail,he has only been there a few months so I don't know if it has always been this way or something new.At the other unit I could mail on Monday and and he would have it by Wednesday Night.Wish they could get it like they are supposed to.Kitty missmyson2 01-15-2007, 09:06 PM I have heard for years about the insanity at Brickeys. Now I know some of it through my loved one being there. They have a new Warden, . . .his last name is Outlaw. He's already helped with a minor situation that's been impossible to get anything done, and all of sudden since his arrival, . . .it's done. God bless the new Warden, . . .and those working there that are there to just draw a check, rip off the tax payers of Arkansas and cause unnessacary misery to the inmates! By the way, . . .anyone had a loved one accepted into Vo-Tech to gain employment skills prior to their release? I need to hear that some inmates are! ittybittykitty 01-15-2007, 09:41 PM How long has he been there, the Warden? Kitty missmyson2 01-16-2007, 08:00 PM I spoke to someone from ADC about two weeks ago and was told Randy Watson was the new Assistant Warden, and I did speak to him then. Now, just this week I'm told by my loved one, that he met a new "Assistant Warden", Warden Outlaw. So, I'm not for sure what's going on. The mail, . . .it is still a BIG problem. Have not seen anything like it! ARadvocate 01-17-2007, 09:58 PM There isn't any accountability in the Brickeys mail room. They are the worst for losing Dictionaries. Gotta worry about a warden named Outlaw! Is that irony or what? I've talked to him (about the Dictionaries) he was decent and cordial. I made some simple suggestions for mail room efficency, I think he thot I was kidding! missmyson2 01-19-2007, 07:57 PM Good deal ARadvocate  You know, if he lives up to his name, . . .he's gotta know the mess he's got there at Brickey's, . . .in the mailroom too with that bunch running things there, . . .and that should be the least of our concerns. God help the inmates that get sick there. Or, those who want to better themselves thru Vo-Tech. "But the relationship of morality and power is a very subtle one.
