I recently read that smoking crack can rapidly ruin your teeth. I never realized it until recently that my friends teeth may be decaying because of his crack use. Does anyone have experience with this?

Smoking crack breaks down the enamel eventually on teeth. What is worse for teeth is smoking meth. Its know as Meth mouth.

Witchlinblue already posted what I was going to say, however I will elaborate a little. Smoking meth IS worse than crack on the teeth, although over time crack does affect them. In 2000, my stepson had a great smile....great teeth. He is now a meth addict. By Jan 2005, his teeth are all gray ( yes gray) and appear to be rotting out of his mouth.....its a telltale sign of the serious user... :(

Gosh, I don't know what's worse -- those teeth or the addiction!!:eek: You are so right, meth is MUCH worth on the teeth than crack, because with crack those teeth would have BEEN either fell out or just had to be pulled out. But it seems with meth, they just rot and stay in place.

YEP! I've heard about the crack being bad. I met a guy that said "You have such a beautiful smile stop this shit before it's gone", I didn't know what he was talking about so I asked why he would say that and he smiled, most of his teeth were gone... I still have my beautiful smile. :)

I'm not sure if it's a fact, but I heard Meth is worse because of the lithium and other chemical "corrode" you teeth away. I did know a few crack addicts that had that grey look to their teeth.

Yes its the acidic and corrosive additives that do it!

Shooting it isn't much better. Between the chronic dry mouth and the soda that most users try to relieve it with, coupled with a life time of on and off incarceration and the resulting complete lack of dental care, career addicts have horrible teeth.
