Hello,
For those with loved ones at chuckawalla that need to speak with your inmates counselor call (760) 922-5300 ext 6238.
If your not sure who the counselor is let them know you are not sure who the counselor is give them the inmate number and they will look it up for you and get you to the correct person.
The counselors there are very nice and extremely helpful.

What kind of questions can we ask? I mean will they give personal information out?

I don't know how personal you want to get but everything i have called and asked the counselor has helped me with. They tell me when she has met with him and what they spoke about. so they are very helpful

Here is one tip, the counselors will only give out info to a FAMILY member. So keep that in mind when they ask how you are related to the inmate. Plus, if you ask what the release date is, they will most likely tell you to "ask the inmate" because if the counselor knows the earliest release date, the inmate knows it too. If you man has not seen his counselor yet, they will not give you any information, only the mailing address.

I got his release date from his counselor. Yes, sorry, i wasnt sure how they handle it with non family members. But as for my husband they tell me anything i ask. But then again i call them enough. They are really great though. I was really shocked by how nice they were when he first went in. I thought they were going to be very rude. To my surprise they were very respectful.

The reason I ask those questions is because my boyfriend was only supposed to do a year, and since he has been gone he has been in a riot and a few fights and now he has been gone two years. So his release date changes so much on me and Id really like to hear a counsler tell me. when I ask my man about things ,he always tells me the same ,that hes being good and will be home soon. I know hes scared ill leave him but why I wonder doesnt he just be good. I guess Ill never quiet understand.. Thanks for all the info maybe Ill get the nerve to call. lol. Im not to good with talking to the faculity. They make me so nervous..

Don't be nervous to call...Just call and ask. The worse that can happen is they won't give you the information. But make sure you speak with HIS counselor.
