Well I finally got to talk to Roger. Its been 3 long lonely weeks since I heard his voice! He has finally left Kilby and is now at Ventress. He hates it! He saw a doctor yesterday. He has the flu! Anyway, I know the information i need is here somewhere, but I can't find it. His brothers have been sending him money since I'm seeing after their mother. I need to send him some. Do I need to put any specific info on the money order and do I address the envolope to him or what? Duh...

You put his AIS # on there. And his name and it has to be a postal money order. And you have to be on his visitation list. Hope this helps!

You have to be on his funds list to send a money order. Put his name and AIS # on the money order. I usually send a postal money order to my husband but you can call where he is at and ask them what type of money orders they will take. Yes you address the envelope to him, just like you are sending him a letter. When they get it they will post it to his account then he will get a slip saying he has x amount on his account.

Blu is right - besides postal money orders most of the major money order companies are accepted by ADOC facilities - Travelers Express, American Express, Western Union, etc. - if you are going to use one and aren't sure, like she said you can call the prison's business office and ask.

Gosh, Yall all know some!! I'm seeing there is ALOT to learn about this... and it seems like things change all the time, day to day.
I didnt even know you had ot be on any kind of list before you sent a money order..... you dont have to be on any kind of list to just send stamps\envelopes do you?
P.s. i think this site is GREAT!!!! i have learned so much already, and it really seems like it helps!
