How long did it take for your visiting approval to come through for DVI-Tracy?

Thank you so much for your responses.

It depends on how many they have to process and how long it takes to get the NCIC report back showing if you have anything on your record. Usually for in-state it takes about a month ...

the processing for visiting takes a while I have heard the average 3 months I couldn't really tell how long mine took cause I submitted it in july 05 and then a county pulled him for court september 1st 05 so thats about 2 months already. We figured I was approved cause for all this time now I hadn't recieved a denial letter in the mail and he wasn't at DVI to see if I was approved so he arrived back to DVI this february 06 and I called to make an appointment for visiting and they said I was denied I had a conviction in 97 they wanted a dispotion on. They said they hadn't sent anything to me regarding my denial cause he was out to court. That info might be helpful to some. But to put it short DVI is a reception center which means they have a lot of visiting applications to process cause thats where a lot of north cal and central cal prisoners will first go before they go to the prison they are going to stay at. And as long as they are in reception there's no phones and non-contact visiting.
