Does anyone know the policy concerning the parole officers ability to give out information on a parolee. I am not a legal relative and I was wondering what information is legally allowed to be revealed to me by his parole officer:idea:

Re you a family member of his, I mean a close family member? If not, then pretty much he won't tell you anything. If he is cool he will give him a message for you, I know a friend of mine that called the parole officer to pass on a message and he did. Maybe they will help you as well.

I am not a family memeber at all and he gave out information to me that proved to be false later... My real question is can he be brought up on charges by my friend or releasing this info?

My honest opinion is, porbably not. They will deny it and say they never said that. They pretty much do what ever they want to do. Some are 100% honest. But, just like any thing or any one else, there are good and bad.
