Hi - My name is LoraMonique. This is all new to me. My boyfriend is currently in Nebraska and waiting to be transfered to CCA Leavenworth in the next few days. He still doesnt know which FCI he will be going too...I hate being in limbo like this!! arg!

This is the issue: He has no other immediate family/friends that are going to be coming to visit no matter where he ends up - I will be the ONLY one to see him. We are not married but I am a business partner of his also. Is there anyway to sway them to put me down as immediate family so he can get a visitor faster?? Or ask for a 'special visit'? How does that work when there isnt anyone but ME going to see him?? Or do they even care???

Also I work a 48hr straight shift every weekend. I really need weekday visitation. Anyone ever had to request that or will they even consider it??

Any help will be appreciated. :)

This is my first post on here - I was overwhelmed with all of the information/topics on this board!! VERY HELPFUL!! I didnt know where to start reading there was sooo much information!

Hang in there everyone!
LoraMonique

I'm sorry, but you will have to wait to be approved for visitation. Only Immediate family is immediate family. There are no exceptions.
Welcome to PTO though!

Welcome to PTO i was so over whlemed at first, but i spent some time looking around and it took me several weeks to figure this system out. But i love it here, i have gained lots of knowledge and support. Keep your head up and you will find your way. We are here for you. Welcome to PTO

Most institutions have at least one weekday visiting time - usually on Friday evening. But it will depend on which institution he's sent to. You will not be able to get any "special" visiting time (outside the regularly scheduled visiting days) for the reasons you have given above, so just hope they have some weekday visiting. Good luck! if you want to find out where he is going try www.bop.gov (http://www.bop.gov) and click inmate locator and it will tell you his location before he even knows where he is going, they update it evernight at mid-night

One more thing - do not use being his "business partner" as a reason for any special visiting consideration. Federal inmates are not allowed to operate their business (or help operate it) while they are incarcerated. Zelda
