View Full Version : I found him finally - Husband in Seattle
missing loren 02-25-2002, 07:35 PM Hi, I am writing to let everyone know that my husband finally called he is in Sea Tech in Seattle. The reason we couldnt find him on the locator was because they have him name spelled wrong. Because of that they lost him $ that he had to take with him too, I guess they are searching for the $. Thanks for your help. Missing Loren

Fed-X 03-07-2002, 10:31 PM I don't mean to be negative but I wonder how many of them are legit typo'z.. Where is the Internal Investigators of the prison system..?
"You husband... what husband..?" I bet they would care if it was their husband.....
Fed-X 03-07-2002, 10:37 PM Congrats Loren!
I am also happy you located him! Don't mean to be negative! I have just faced many obstacles myself so there is a little Sarcasm when it comes to the prison system.
missing loren 03-08-2002, 10:28 AM I totally agree with you. The whole system at times seems alittle screwy. I talked to him 2 nights ago and they still havent found his $ that he left Montana with. Its a good thing he has family that sent him some more. He also thinks he will be moved from Sec Tech next week and we dont know where hes going again. Its so hard because we have a almost 5 year old daughter. She always says when is my daddy coming home I miss him. I guess what keeps me going is, see we were seperated for 2 yrs because of his drug use. I just keep thinking that if he would of never got in trouble me and my daughter would of never had him at home to be a family again.
I am wondering about the phone calls he bought a phone card so that it didnt charge me but can i send him a phone card or could I get a 1800 #? Thank you all for your help.
Tina (missing Loren)
sherri13 03-08-2002, 10:35 AM TINA, I AM CURIOUS ABOUT THIS TOO-CAN YOU GET A PERSONAL 1-800# AND WOULD THE INMATE BE ABLE TO USE A 1-800# ON THE PRISON PHONES? ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER?
SHERRI:hmm:
Budwoman 03-08-2002, 11:45 AM Hi Girls:
Don't know about other States, but North Carolina will not allow you to have a 1-800 number that an inmate can call.
The only way they can call out is on the Pay Phones in the Dormitory. The are forced to make a Collect Call. I have a 800 number at work and he cannot call me on that. He must call collect.
On top of that, I cannot even have his calls forwarded to my cell phone. If I have the correct Long Distance Company, then they will FORWARD all calls to my home to my Cell Phone. That requires a large deposit.
Some States may have a different policy for inmates, but NC wants to get every dime from us possible.

jdswifey02 03-08-2002, 12:43 PM Inmates are not allowed to call 1-800 numbers from state prisons in Illinois either. They are not allowed to have phone cards. They must call collect and can only call numbers that are on their "approved" list which they can only submit every so often. They are even limited on how many calls they can make to a given number each month, even if the bill is paid in full. They DO make it as difficult as possible.:argh
sherri13 03-09-2002, 08:46 AM :argh
of course...having access to use 880#'s would help families maintain contact without being such a financial drain on those of us out here behind invisible bars....the DOC would never go for that....

missing loren 03-09-2002, 09:22 AM Hey I am wondering if I give Loren my long distance carrier calling card pin # if he could use that and call? The calls are so expendsive its crazy!! Tina:pissed:
soraya 03-11-2002, 01:00 PM I'm not sure about all the states, but I get calls from Sussex II state prison in VA, 'with'a calling card. I live in Europe so collect calls are not that expensive for me (crazy but true, the collect calls are cheaper if you call to another country). But what my friend does is this: his mother buys a calling card and send him the numbers of it (the pin or what is it?) so when he gets the operator to make the call, she asks if he has a calling card. so he then give her the numbers. that way he doesn't have to call collect, they charge the money on the calling card. it works in this prison. he'll be moving in may or june and will try it in the other prison too. i'll let you know if it works there too. I think it's worth trying? it's cheaper then collect calls!
missing loren 03-20-2002, 09:32 AM Hi I found out that they moved Loren to Sheridan Oregon. I am wondering if anyone has a loved one there and if they know anything about that facility. He hasnt called me yet but I found out where he was on the inmate finder. If anyone has any info please let me know Thank You , Missing Loren (Tina)
Shortie 03-20-2002, 07:10 PM Hey tina
I am from Oregon. Sheridan is a good prison. My friend did time there. It rains a lot. He should be able to call you after they process him in. Why did they move him there? I live in Texas now but I have most of my family in oregon. Hey just ask away and I will help as best as I can. I can always make some calls home too.
missing loren 03-21-2002, 01:17 PM Hi Shortie Thank you
They moved Loren because he was in Sea Tech they just kept him there until they found a spot for him and now I dont think they will move him again. I am waiting for him to call. I am glad to hear its a good prison. Hopefully his time will go fast and he will be back home. Thank you again Tina
Shortie 03-21-2002, 06:59 PM Your welcome. I called a friend of mine who did some time up there and he said all in all it is a good prison. Then he laughed and said he could not believe he just said that. I told him well you are right if you compare it to some of the places you (he) have been
Daveswife 03-22-2002, 05:51 PM All of the Va. prisons that David has been in have a pre-recorded list of phone numbers. He pushes 1,2,3 etc. to get who he wants. At Coffeewood where he's at now, I had to get a concent form notorized and send it back before they would add my # to his list. No calling cards or operator contact. Phone bills range from $300-$500 a month depending on how much we're fighting. LOL
missing loren 04-22-2002, 06:58 PM Hi I thought I would just update. Loren is in the prison part finally and now he has a job and can start all the drug programs. I was wondering how many people out there had a loved one addicted to "crank" and started selling to support the habit? And then ended up in prison. Also I am wondering about the conspiracy law any one with any information greatly appreciated. Thank you Missing Loren (Tina)
soraya 05-14-2002, 09:20 AM so did you get that call yet? how are things going right now>?
