My brother took a plea bargain in Oklahoma for another incident and was on probabtion for that when he was convicted in Arkansas for a seperate offense. Does anyone know if this will affect him getting first time parole? I keep reading that first time non-violent offenders usually get parole. His plea bargain in Oklahoma was for a violent crime, so I am wondering if they will consider that or only the crime he was convicted for in the state of Arkansas. Please help.

I had a conviction in Louisiana and they new nothing about it. The only info they use for parole is Arkansas info, by that I mean prior convictions in Arkansas and how he acted while in the ADC. I know they may say they consider it but they do not.
