My brother was just moved from Brickeys to North Central without any warning. He has been in lock down for over a year because Brickey's is such a disgusting and dirty and violent place. He has all but turned into a caged animal. He almost can't even have a visit because the people around him make him nervous. He got to North Central and it's been a few weeks and he is SOOO elated. It's like a country club compared. We are all so happy. We were worried he would not survive Brickeys. He watched a guy be murdered by an inmate and the guards just watched and did nothing. The kid that was killed was only 25 and due for parole in a few weeks. Killed by a lifer for the fun of it. This is my first post here and I am not sure if I am even posting in the right place? My husband was at Brickeys also, and I agree, that place really had me scared for him. He was transferred about a month ago, and he says he feels like he just might make it now too. While in Brickeys, on hoe squad, one of the inmates jabbed him in the side with the handle of the hoe, and he said he was afraid to try to go to the infirmary cause the riders(GUARDS) might bust his class again or put him in lockdown. He ended up having to do I think 120 days of hoe squad instead of 60. I thank GOD he got transferred, my opinion, Brickeys sucks!!
