Does anyone know anthing about this facility? My husband has a chance to go to work release there and I told him I'd try to find out what I could about it. He's currently at Tucker Unit.

My husband is at Benton Work Release.....in Benton Ar.,,,,,Is that the same Unit you are talking about? If so,,,,what would like to know?

What is it like there? Does he like it? I guess I need to know everything you can tell me about it - visitation, etc.

If you are talking about Benton County that is in Bentonville, Arkansas. It is a no frills jail. They have not hot food, no tv, no radio, no tobacco, no toothbrush, no razors, etc... It's not a bad place if you don't mind all that. The visitation is Tuesday through Friday and you have to make an appointment 24 hours ahead of time. I beleive the visits are fifteen minutes but sometimes they fudge a little.

Are you talking about Benton Work Release in Benton, AR? If you are, it's not bad. They do a lot of counts every day. Everything is yes sir and no sir. Visitation is more strict than Tucker. (Just a comparison) You sit facing the inmate. Very little contact. Food's okay. No fences or wire. I think Regional Maintenance (which they have to do first) is not too great but... They don't have individual rooms to sleep in. Their bunk beds are just lined up in one big room. Very little privacy. Can't have pictures out, everything has to be put in their box. After they start a job they can wear real world clothes and shoes and can carry some money on them. They have more freedom but they have to earn it. One mistake and they're shipped out.

Hope this helps. I suppose it depends on if you are asking about Benton Work Release or Benton County. Two different places. Very different.

Benton Work Release in Benton, AR is where he is now. I guess this is a good thing.
I just need to know all you can tell me about visitation - are they contact visits, vending machines, etc.
