Chuckawalla Valley State Prison offers tour (http://www.paloverdevalleytimes.com/main.asp?SectionID=23&SubSectionID=35&ArticleID=6498&TM=5088.583)Chuckawalla Valley State Prison (CVSP) is hosting a walking tour of the prison, 19025 Wileys’ Well Road, Blythe, for the public March 15 at 6 p.m. Chuckawalla Valley State Prison tour.
The tour will include housing units, visiting areas, central health, cafeterias, inmate activities and the Central Operations area.
Interested residents must be at least 18 years of age in order to participate; may not wear blue chambray, camouflage, blue jeans, shorts, or any type of denim clothing; and may not bring cameras, cellular phones, recording devices, pagers, pets, or medications on the tour.
Clearance applications are available at Halby’s Store For Men at 217 West Hobsonway, Blythe Chamber of Commerce at 201 N. Broadway, or CVSP’s Public Information Officer, Debbie Asuncion, at (760) 922-9710; Clearance forms must be received at CVSP by March 3.
