Hi! I am so glad to find this forum! I have a...for now we will say very dear friend in 4th Ave. Jail. He is sitting there for now but it is very likely he will go to prison. I am coming out in April to visit (I live in Arkansas) and he told me he thinks there may be a way to get special permission to have a better visit than the closed circuit television one. Does anyone know or have any experience in this matter? It will be a huge trip for me and I really want to be able to actually see him and have a good visit, not just spend a bunch of time messing around. At least he said sometimes people get longer than just the 30 minutes! I would love to know any tips or anything anyone can tell me about this jail. He has me scared he won't get my letters if I put stickers on them! I am very new to all of this (obviously) but it looks like I will be dealing with it for some time so any help at all would be appreciated! Thanks!

4th Avenue jail is very strict, I have gotten to know a few women who come out of state a few times a month and there is no special privilages. Im considered out of county, I live in the same state but have to drive alot of miles to see him and its no difference. Its all on video. All I can suggest is that you have your friend who is in 4th Ave ask one of the Sgt to see if there is a way. Sometimes their attorneys have to sit in front of the video's.
