I was wondering what was the visit that you think about the most, the one that makes you pause, look up at the sky, and smile?

My most memorable moment....

Deon and I had been trying to get married at ASMP for several months and we were taken through a lot of red tape. We came to the conclusion that it was close to impossible to get married there because of the new law passed in July 2005, only a Judge or Court Clerk could notarize his portion of the marriage application and no-one was willing to ablige us.

Saturday, September 24, 2005 during our visit, out of the blue he just broke out saying vows to me. It caught me off guard and my eyes filled with tears that I tried to hold back. At one point he stopped and asked me please not to cry, because he would, and prison is no place for a man to be crying. He allowed me time to re-gain my composure and concluded the vows saying we were now married in our hearts and in the eyes of GOD!

That's the visit that brings tears to my eyes everytime I think of...so candid, so beautiful!

My most memorable visit with Sebastian was the first time I met him face to face at Stateville. When he walked into the visiting room and I saw him coming towards me, I thought, "There's my man!" We had a great visit and my friend was waiting for me when I came out, she asked, "Well?" The only thing I could get out was, "I love him". You'll notice my avatar NEVER changes...

My most memorable memory was the first, I was denied visits even after filing an appeal, but by the grace of God I did get approved...we talked on the fri of the week and he said that he didn't know if my name had gotten on his list because he hadn't gotten anything back from his counselor, On sat I called the prison, they wouldn't tell me stating privacy laws, on sunday i called again, same story. This time I thought it was a beautiful April day, I was driving there...my name was on his list...he didn't know I was coming...it had been 6 long months since we had seen each other...when he walked into the waiting room he didn't notice me...I was standing at the officers desk..he wasn't expecting me, but his children...he was just standing there looking the room over, we were approx 3-4 feet from each other...the officer asked him if he saw his visit...I spoke up and said, here I am...he turned and looked at me...and the look was a true Kodak moment...He was so surprised and happy to see me...we couldn't talk for the first 20 minutes...It was great...the very last visit was the second best visit...

Mine would have to be our wedding day! He was so cute and so nervous. His bottom lip was shaking as he said his vows! The ceremony was short, sweet and beautiful.

I cant decide if it was our first visit or the last one. The first was exciting and a little nerve wracking, but great. But have to say our last one, when we got engaged was the best. He was so sweet, and his lip was quivering the whole day, it was really sweet. I cant wait to see him again on April 22!

I have so many :)

I think the most memorable one is our first contact visit. He had put in to be moved to the boot camp where all visits are contact even for friends. Well I wasnt sure if I was gonna make it to visit because I went out of town that weekend and I also was getting a chance to see my brother who was in a unit on the other side of houston for the first time in over 2 years, anyway I had talked to him about it and he told me not to rush back he would be alright and be careful and dont be speeding. :) We needless to say I didnt listen, as soon as I left my brother I brunt up that highway getting back, well I walked in to get my slip and the lady told me oh he is at the boot camp, my heart stoped LOL, I was like what, she said it again and I said Huh, then she was like well if you dont want to, she was smiling, I was like naw I think I better take it, well my heart was beating a mile minute as I walked back to the car to drive around there, I couldnt believe we were finally getting a contact, I was finally going to beable to get my first kiss and hug. When I walked in all we could do is look at each other, when he first huging me, Oh it felt so good, I didnt want to let him go, the kiss was good, but the finally kiss, oh my, it took my breath away, even after all those years he hadnt forgot anything. :)
I found out later they had just moved him out there this morning. I am so happy I made it back, I would have been kicking myself, if I would have missed that visit. :)

Because i dont get to visit too often, ALL my visits are very memorable, but ive gotta say... the beginning of the first ever visit sticks out in my mind the most. Maybe because it was the first time tha i was getting to see the love of my lifefor the very first time... touched, kissed, hugged and chatted for hours with him.

The day we finally met. I stepped into his arms for that first kiss and hug and KNEW that nothing in my life had ever been more right!

My best visit that I remember is the first contact visit when I brought our son. He got locked up when he was 5 weeks old and our first contact visit at Parchman was in November. He was almost 6 months old. I just loved seeing Jason look down at his son and love him. It was awesome!

hmm...our last visit. it was one week after we cried together at visit for the first time ever. i guess i was still emotional and worried about crying again...but i went there, and we ate, and watched tv, and hugged and kissed and it really felt like we were in our living room at home (wierd but true). it almost felt like we weren't in prison. and the best part was our chairs were side by side so i laid my head back on his shoulders and propped up my feet on another chair, and he played with my hair (i love the way it feels) and i snuggled all close to him, and we had ice cream on sticks that day and watched the football game. darn it was so much fun that day! everytime i think about it...i smile!

My most memorable visit still makes me get teary eyed when I think about it. It was our first visit and when I saw him walk into the room and he was looking around the room for me, then he saw me and this big smile came across his face. Like a little boy that saw all his presents under the christmas tree. He came over to the table and I stood up and we hugged and kissed (briefly). And i was so nervous! But after a few minutes, I felt so comfortable with him, as if we had known eachother forever. So about 30 minutes before the visit was over, I looked over my shoulder at the clock and then I turned back to him and he was looking at the clock also. Then we just looked into eachothers eyes and I could see that he looked so sad. I told him that it was almost time for me to go and he grabbed my hands and said, "Don't leave me!" I'll never forget that day.

I Would Have To Say Out First One, "crossing Over" From Employee To Visitor Was Very Tough And It Was Great For Me And My Fiance, We Could Actually Talk, Kiss, Be A Couple Freely. It Was A Good Visit, Even Though A Lot Of My Old Co Workers Actaully Came In The Visiting Room To See If It Was True About Me And My Man, That We Were Actually Together And I Was Bold Enough To Come Back To The Prison Just Weeks After I Left From Being Employed There.

I'd have to say the non-contacts (3 months) we had with glass between us with the screen beneath the glass. They were very memoriable because when I say we made the best of them, we really made the best of them!! :p
