Hi all. I had my first visit with my daughter today at Fluvanna. She seems to be doing ok. Lord it killed me when she started crying tho.:( The guards seemed nice and we didnt have any problems. Unless you count uncomfortable chairs. They have her last name spelled wrong and she will be in max security until they get her thru all of her classification and so forth. And I guess Fluvanna is medical as well. All I know is they had better take good care of my babies. :) Fluvanna is a Level 3 facility and once she has the baby she seems to be stuck there until Feb. 2007. Does that sound right???? She should be classified as a Level 1 I believe. She would most likely go to the prison down in Goochland if they were to transfer her. I would rather her be in a Level 1 facility. Because of the distance I wont be able to see her every week but going to try to make it at least twice a month. Once the baby is born will try to get the baby there as often as I can.

She went to the doctors yesterday and the baby is a girl. :hifive: She said they said so far that all the blood work looked good. I imagine since a bunch of higher ups in VA forwarded my other daughters emails to VDOC they will take good care of her and this baby. LOL cause we sure arent afraid to send more emails or start calling people. She says baby is moving alot and looks fat to her on the sonogram. She gained 2 lbs in a week. Guess I can trade all that yellow and green stuff I have in layaway for pink now.:D They believe her due date is around May 14 or so give or take a few days. So not much longer on that.

She told me some distrubing stuff today about the Bristol City jail. One girl came in while my daughter was there with a staff infection on her face and they wouldnt take her to the doctors for a long time. Daugher said her face actually bled. Staff is very contagious. The girl ended up in the hospital for 6 days. There is another pregnant girl there not getting any care. Im not sure what to do. I really dont know if I can do anything but that just isnt right.

Oooo, a granddaughter! I am glad to hear she and the baby are doing ok. I had a thought, since she is pregnant, she could be a Level 3 just based on her medical. I know my guy is a 1 for security, but was a 2 due to medical.

She needs to tell the other pregnant inmate to have her family do the same thing y'all did - send emails to everyone until she sees a doctor.

((((HUGS)))) You have a rough road ahead. Keep the faith!

I'm sooo glad she's getting medical care now. Congrats on the girl! You'll have so much fun dressing her up.
I wish Mom and baby the best of health!

Thanks all. Im pretty happy and pretty sad at the same time. She says they only let her stay at the hospital 5 hours after the birth. Boy sure hope nothing goes wrong. This situation really stinks. Dang judge did have other options. Wish he would have considered what this does to a family and bonding between mother and child. Big Sighhhhhhhhhhh....

I guess I cursed my daughter told her she was going to have a girl that would be twice as bad as she was...lol...

LOL! I think all moms put that curse on their daughters. I got it as a kid and darned if my daughter isn't a Mini Me. :D
